Dropping down the 2 from Cloudburst Summit

- Welcome to Highway 2 in the Angeles National Forest. We start at Cloudburst Summit and shoot down one of the longest sustained descents on the 2.
We met up at 5 a.m. and started climbing in the dark. We caught a great sunrise and after 3 hours of gorgeous climbing we set the camera up and headed back down.
Spare a thought for the firefighters currently battling the blaze up there. The road is currently closed and a huge section of the Angeles National Forest is burned with little containment of the fire.

I’m not even a cyclist, but these videos are like meditation. Love em. Keep up the good work.
😊
I can only make 55km downhill. 70+ is too much for me. Its scary.
@@bartmanapat238 sucks for me there's no long climbs/downhills in my area
Let’s. Take a moment to appreciate the details on the left
You mean the other guys rear end?
What does he use to get the data

You can have it! The program is called Virb Edit by Garmin

Fastest I’ve ever gone was 41 mph and I was scared as hell lol. You guys are insane. Love it.
I did 45 the other day. Thought it was nuts!
The speed that Taylor’s heart rate drops when he is tucked is pretty impressive.
Big thumbs up for mentioning the fire fighters.
RIP Cloudburst. Glad you captured it so beautifully on video
😭 Hopefully it will be better managed going forward.
Thanks for this. Nice memory refresher for me. In 2009, I climbed angels highway from sea level on a lone cycling circumnavigation of the 48 contiguous US. Starting from my massachusetts home, i Took the northern tier of the US through Rhode Island to Seattle, then down along the coast (101 was great until Santa rosa, then bikes prohibited) to about del ray marina ish on on the 25th day of august that year. Then turned around stopped at a jack in the box, and headed towards la cañada. I almost camped at a look out of LA for the night, but a motorcyclist told me a lot of bad shit happens there, so i went back to la cañada, slept in a park, and headed up the next morning. Got to cloud burst summit that evening, and was in Phelan the next morning. It was fun going downhill the other way at least. Lol. From there, I took the historic rt 66 (not the interstate) to 95 (searchlight) to Vegas and hoover dam. Then down to kingman Arizona along 66 again to wichitah falls texas, to new orleans to the Florida panhandle, then across all the eastern states except new hampshire and Maine. It was awesome adventure, and cbs in the angels mountains definitely sticks out among all the memories.
Thank you for blessing us with the overlays!
That freewheel sounds aggressive, I like it!
I bet it is a Gokiso hub
What a beautiful descent...Thank you so much!!
Breathtaking DH, Insane Riders! ❤🧡💛
Fantastic descent 👍
Thank you for these dope vids. Inspiring and amazing to watch. Somehow serene and high-octane at once. Y'all are beasts. Amazing skills - the physicality, the filmmaking, all of it.
Epic descent, thanks for the thrills.
These guys were moving! Enjoyed the video angles & freehub sound!!
The infographics are great. 👍👍
I love how when the Harley rider passed you, it still took like 5-6 more corners for them to disappear from sight.
Hypnotizing. Mesmerizing. Inspiring.
Thank you for not tarnishing this particular one with any additional audio.
Music soundtracks can be great, and voice-overs are often invaluable. But in this case? You presented it perfectly.
As always: Stay safe.
Keep em coming, brilliant stuff!
Dem hubs just screaming tho...🔥👌🏽
8:08 Why aero is important...
good call. aero and drafting.
It looks like a game.
Amazing ❤❤
No fire there- the smoke is from you guys burning up the road!

Congratulations 70k
Excelente vídeo, parabéns!!!! Rio de janeiro - Brasil 💪😀
Great video
Safa, you might have already ridden this one, but the road down from Mt. Pinos looks pretty fun. I think it's Cuddy Valley Rd. The top is around 8,000 ft and the parking lot at the bottom is around 5,000 ft.
I completely stopped cycling during these fires. I'm just doing indoor workouts with a treadmill and weights. But hey, you drove by my neck of the woods in La Canada!
On a normal day in a normal time, you could've stopped at Newcomb's Ranch (9:17) for coffee and breakfast. RIP California small business.
Excellent, bar-setting camera work.
Beautiful presentation❤️
Just a question about driving and safety
the yellow car ( ithink its a porsche) at 4:18, how can this person do that?? that looks so fucking dangerous especially because he overtook them at a bend and he cant see whats ahead
If he met himself (a driver on the opposite side doing the same manevure as he did exactly) they would crash right? like badly
The sound seems to also have improved on your videos as we can hear not only the free wheel distinctly but the whooshing sound of the dish wheels winding up under load.
That's the magic of GO PRO
Please do dawson saddle !

El comentario en español que estabas buscando, excelente descenso a gran velocidad
Last time I was at Hwy 2, I crossed it at Cloudburst on my way to Canada. Thought I recognized the trail to the right at 00:08.
EPIC
That was a rush of speeeeeeeeeed! Great footage

Hey Safa, did you know there's a workaround to export a 60fps video from Virb Edit?
Sooo good i want that bike😍
Best enjoying channel. I'm feeling goosebumps & my stress released
Love the stats on the LHS. Nerd fodder!! 😂👍🏼
BUENAS RUTAS PARA HACER DESCENSO!.. GRACIAS Y SALUDOS DESDE LA PATAGONIA ARGENTINA!..
That wind direction could change any moment, one reason I’m not risking my limbs.
the blue dude is sooo aero damn
Hi may I know what size are these bikes?? Thanks
Road bikes has only one size
700c/29er
@@heavyhotdog5381 thankss
Are you talking about frame or wheel size? 700c wheels are very common, but on smaller bikes 650b is used. There's lots of frame sizes to chose depending on height.
Y'all looking at the descent, I'm looking at the climb they have to do prior the descent
Great!!. What hubs are those on Taylors bike ?
Great stuff👍🇦🇺🇺🇸
Omg that yellow car
And that bike too
All hail super tylor
is this a game?, unbelievable
I would like to give an opinion on the position of the camera could u pls use a body strap for recording as we can see u riding to
HAHA!! You were giving that D-bag on the Harley a run for his money!!!
So cool
You are the best
Taylor just slipped on everybody 🚀
Love it!!
nice style video
interesting to see grey guy have slightly more power for same speed prolly bc hes heavier
Looks like a game
Superb.
Must be nice to coast and maintain speed at 40mph on a 5% grade. I can’t even hit 35 with my wide tires and wind resistance on 10% grades and pedaling too
How do you get the info to show up on screen like that
Hola ví sus videos q hermoso saludos desde ecuadol ecuadol
If only my country does have roads like this -_-
Fastest I have ever been in a descent was 84 km/h (~52 mph in your currency, I think). That was pretty scary because my bike felt quite nervous at that speed...
wow this is crazy
Felt like GTA when the yellow Porsche crossed.
I love seeing porsches up on great roads.
