- Subs on, English and Japanese available :) this song hits extremely close to home for me.
I could not seem to find a mic position that balanced my voice and the piano so the entire first half of the song is lip synced 😂 I also don't have the lung capacity for that final long note (I used to be able to swim 25 m without needing to breathe but I'm old and unfit now) so I ended up recording over it, which is why there's some discontinuity within that section. Also I clearly don't know how to control the guitar tone or play the flute- I sound incredibly breathy and in hindsight I probably should have asked my brother to do it instead. Don't mind the metronome at the end, I obviously needed one for this with the tempo changes and my terrible ability of keeping in time xD My finger positions are appalling bc I haven't been working on my technical stuff on piano so please just ignore them too.
The 違う section reminds me so much of the telephone scene in EF: A Tale of Memories and I absolutely love it. I slipped in my favourite parts from the music video, the editing is a bit choppy but I have school lmao.

Damn. This was really good. I've got a few critiques but overall it's really solid.
You've already mentioned the flute, which was the first thing I noticed; I think the tuning or something was off, so it sounded a bit wrong.
I think your singing overall could have been stronger... it sounded kind of quiet and hesitant a lot of the time. That said, I understand if you couldn't really belt it out because you live in a house with other people and don't want to annoy them. :P
There were a few spots where the playing felt a bit hesitant, like you weren't confident in your timing. I think the main spot I noticed it was around the transition into the final chorus.
The outro guitar solo had one note that I think was wrong, it stood out a bit and was a bit jarring.
Ok, now that that's over, everything else was AWESOME. You did a really solid job, and your ability to make your voice go all raspy and edgy just like Minami is amazing. Most of your playing was really good as well, and I'd love to hear you do this with a full band. I think you have a lot of talent and potential, so I'd love to see where you go. :)

Tbf I think the guitar is mostly fine, and the ending solo was good apart from the one bung note. I liked it. :)

Haha yep, the piano hasn’t been tuned since before covid, the flute was tuned to one note on the piano but the rest of the piano was out of tune and I couldn’t be bothered with the guitar 🤣
@@sirpoopdi3420 yeah, thats unfortunate tho. I feel if you're gonna put so much effort into making a good cover anyways you might as well iron out the little crumples that may hinder it. I would have loved to add this cover to a playlist but my ears are a bit sensitive when I hear notes go off tune. take care of you're instruments :) they will be by your side through out your life. Tuning won't hurt every now and then
We do usually tune twice a year, but then covid happened and my family didn’t deem tuning to be a necessary risk bahaha which sucks but it’s fine
