This is expected of Mariachi Vargas--the best mariachi in the world. BTW, the song "El Pastor" ("The Shepherd") is about a shepherd playing his reed flute as he tends to his sheep in the pastures, talking to them through it, and they seem to listen.
The lyric translate: The shepherd goes with his flock, at dawn, down the path, from the mountains to the meadow... He goes to music his complaints with his reed piccolo, followed by his sheep like a spell... The shepard's piccolo when driving, sing like this... The shepherd goes back, because the sun is setting, he goes up the hill to guard his flock. With his piccolo he calls his sheep one by one and communicates his joys and sorrows to them... The shepard's piccolo when driving, sing like this...
Thank you please see my comment about the importance of understanding the lyrics and how it all works together. This is Mexican classical music. ❤️❤️❤️
It saddens me that none of the English speaking reviewers of this song bother to check out the lyrics. This is not a simple pop song this is Mexican classical music. Therefore the music, the voice and the lyrics are integrated. Everyone talks about the yodoling in the song as a surprise when the title of the song literally means"the shepherd" they're obviously going to throw in some yodoling, it only makes sense. The lyrics also say that the music the shepherd makes with his flute is almost a spell to call out the sheep. The whole falsetto and the yodoling are arranged within this song to make you fall into the spell of the singer. This is as magical as queen of the night on Mozart's the magic flute. This song deserves that kind of respect!!! 🤨🤨🤨

Castilian Spanish (Spain) cannot pronounce words Spanish from Mexico due to the incorporation of many different native languages (Náhuatl, Zapoteca, Maya etc)….change the language settings to Spanish Mexico or Latin America.
When you refer to anything in the Spanish language, I know you might think you could call it Spanish but actually, the term only refers to an object that comes from Spain. For people, calling someone Spanish is also the wrong term even if you refer to people from Spain, like I said, it’s only for objects. The correct term would have to be “Spaniard”. If you don’t mean Spain, you have to specify the country. In this case, Mexican music, Cuban music, etc. Every time you said Spanish music, I cringed! Specially when you were referring to “falsete” which is not used in Spanish music, only Mexican music. It’s like calling everyone that speaks English, “English” even if they’re from the US, Australia, or Ireland. 3 completely different countries.
Thanks for the correction, I'll keep that in mind next time! I know I messed up because this is music from Mexico.. Spanish language just made me say Spain, sorry about that.
