About a month ago, I had a feeling that we were due for a 7-10% correction (no data, just 30 years of investing experience) so rather than sell my stocks, I bought QQQ 400, SPY 475 and tsla 170 puts as that was about a 10% correction at that time. Looks like it may be happening (especially tsla), question now is when to sell my puts.
Why wait on TSLA? Start selling!!
Does the Fed do a reverse course and cut rates if the market tanks? What else can reverse this downward momentum?
Is there a reason you focus on spy so heavily and not other indices?

What do you think about midrange bounce for SPY off the 100 EMA around 490. That was my hypothesis earlier in the week and it seems to be a good in-between a full floor loss

I think today was a bear trap and that the morning pop then drop trend breaks tomorrow. It's a Friday and traders will already be in Friday trading mode, we've now had 5 down days and we closed on a low allowing the bears to stay short (a perfect setup to catch even more bears off guard tomorrow - those who stayed or went short in the afterhours or premarket, and those who try to short what they feel is the top of the pop tomorrow morning). I went long tonight at the close and am hoping for a pop tomorrow, and hopefully one that squeezes the shorts!
