I've always liked the "under dogs" of some vehicles for some reason. Maybe because they really don't have the popularity or deserved love "the cool kids on four wheels" get. That row of Dodge trucks, great example. They just have this unusual weirdness about their stances and body lines I like. The front face expresses, "I'm just here to work, I'm not here for some beauty contest."
Great auction and some great buys by you and Joe. It was interesting to see the selection of old classics in this farm sale. Thanks for sharing it. That '38 Plymouth was a great looking car. I think the other guy really wanted it. I think it would have ran and cleaned up well. Would have been great to get it going just like it looked. Be an interesting old classic to just cruise around in. Have a blessed rest of your week.
The yellow 38 Plymouth car looks ok. You had to stop somewhere on the bidding. Joe did good on the tractor. Wow! Just about pulled the Nova off the trailer and into the truck! I never knew they built the Dodge pickups with the corner windows.
B.F. Goodrich signs very cool. The Coors boot glasses, were they a promotional thing? Score on the Nova, the price was right. Pulling the Dodge out no need to put the chain directly on the frame but put it in the middle of the front bumper, it won't bend. The five window another nice truck, didn't know about the side wing window, something I learned.
I have a few Clorox bleach brown bottles I found them as a kid in my great grandparents basement I found them and a bunch of buzz coils from a model T ford. I first thought they were something railroad related because my great grandfather worked for the railroad and I did not find out what they were for until I looked it up on the internet 30 years after I found them
MR GP, thanks again for the treat of another 1962 Chevy II. I can't believe you've found 2 of them. This one was low on options. No outside mirror. Chevy II had a comfort and convenience group. You got; outside mirror, inside day night mirror, 2 speed wipers with washers. What more do you need to drive? I couldn't hear what you were reading off the cowl tag. Can you give me the month week it was built? Which plant. And the # after the plant code. My 62 100 4-door is KC 109963. Does that make it the 9963 1962 Chevy II 100 4-door 6 cylinder built that year or built at KC? I think the # is for all of that model that year regardless of plant. My 62 body # is KC 1529. I believe that means it was the 1529 1962 model year GM vehicle built at KC. The 1962 Chevy 300 series had a 2 door post car also. The only 2 door hardtop top was in the Nova 400 series. My 62 100 and your 62 100 were built the same week month in KC! What are the chances they both have survived? A friend who owns his own repair shop since the 60s said he too hadn't seen a Chevy II 4 cylinder with a Powerglide. He said the automatic took power away from the little 4 cylinder and that is why you see mostly 3 speeds with the 4. Thank you for your finds. Now to find good homes for them!
If you ever have an unwanted junker or parts car 62-64, let me know. Im broke, ill take anything . Ive been in love with that car since i was a kid in the 60s and 70s, never thought divorce would ruin me. Lol
I've got a 62. 4 door 6 cylinder powerglide car that I was driving when I got married in 82. Still sitting on the farm. Rusty but a lot better then that one.. Must find so.eone who wants one.
I need a 60s-70s Ford pick up so bad. My dad bought a 1976 supercab brand new and my uncle bought a 1977 f250 xlt brand new. Need to get one for the memories if nothing else!
That auction really hits home. I've got a 62 Chevy 2 like rhat to sell.A 41 Plymouth that I need a little chrome for. A 66 ford truck like to get that was my dad's. A 52 Chevy truck with the corner windows belonged to a friend and I drove it from winnipeg to Ottawa for him. The one at the sale was older with the door handles that pulled down. A friend's boyfriend had a 52 dodge truck like that. I gave him the torsion bar front suspension out of a dodge aspen for it.
YES.... WE ALL HAD A FUN TIME BUYING STUFF...HANGING OUT WITH BRETT, TIM AND JOE IS ALWAYS A GOOD TIME...I BID ON A FEW OF THE TRUCKS BUT BAILED OUT... WOULD HAVE HAD TO SKEDADDLE BACK SOUTH 3 HOURS FOR MY TRAILER SO IT WAS ALL GOOD....
That Billy beer was promoted by a Presidents brother. Jimmy Carter's brother promoted Billy beer and from the people who tried it they said it was shitty beer and I guess that's why it did not last long LOL!
Tim, you've mentioned before you have "toothpick arms." Actually, you got bigger arms than I do, so no, I have the toothpick arms. Don't steal from me, or I'll sue you for trademark/copyright infringement! Hey, at least I can yank an intake or head off a block by myself still! At 56:56:00: Make her a lead sled or 1960's era cicada-face Gasser..\m/.
I'm newer to your channel. I was just curious how you fund all of the cars/trucks that you buy. Do you buy and resell? I'm truly interested. Thanks for the great videos.
Chrysler 400's..nah, not my cup of tea. I like all other Mopars, be em 6 or 8 cans, but not those 400's. Add another 26 or 40 CID, then we're talkin. Ah, IHC Loadstars.. I love those things. We had em as grain trucks and my school district ran a fleet of them as school busses when I was a kid. They were all gassers, not deisels.
GOTTA LOVE THOSE 4 DOORS !.
Always cool to see these old cars and trucks being saved.
Best Channel period 😁😁😁😁👍

The chevy pickup is a 48 or 49 by the one piece door glass and the vent on the side of the cowl.

Wish I could hear this .
"They'll let us know in the comments" 😁
I had never noticed that some years of these Chevys came with no wing windows. Now they look weird to me.
My 51 has wing windows, I believe it was the last year for them. Then you have to go by type of door handles.
Mr. Goodpliers....is that a cameo from the infamous demo derby Jon "Crusher"???

That truck bed trailer actually DID have the kitchen sink!
