To be honest, no. Don’t want to be negative but I love Ed and his guitar and loop pedal. All the extra instruments and the tempo changes is all too much for me. That being said, it’s Ed. He is a lyrical genius and with time I’m sure I’ll be playing songs and singing along but my initial visceral reaction is NOT ANYTHING that I ever expected. (If the songs were released on the new album and sounded exactly like he does on this live, I’d be ecstatic. Ed and his guitar is more than enough. It’s magical.)

Visiting hours touches my soul unlike any other song I’ve ever heard. I’m sorry for your loss Ed. So many of us have lost people close to us lately and it really hits home.
I’m a hospice nurse and watch people die often. I thought Supermarket Flowers really captured what we go through when people die but Visiting Hours us just extraordinary. I cry every time I hear it.
Ed!! Thinking out loud got me and my wife together and now I'm becoming a father just as this album comes out! Leave your life and Tides are both hitting me hard man, thanks for this album. My favorite album for sure!
