I do swimming training every summer and my coach told me that no matter how good I am, if I stop my training and do it only in summer, my level would always go back to zero. Training is very important in swimming. Sunghoon retired 10 years ago and focused on acting. He's always busy and had no time to train (+he had injury) but he still managed to be neck-and-neck with a swimmer with a national record. Good job Sunghoon oppa!
real my mom is making me quit for school this year, but i truly got so much faster when i trained 13-14 hours per week. practice is incredibly important. I didn't swim for a month and I added 3 seconds on a 100 free. My time is still pretty slow compared to others my age, cuz i have a 1:06.18 in a yard pool lol

it's okay sunghoon, you did well. if y'all are curious about sunghoon's swimming ability, try watching the swimming special on Cool Kiz on The Block. He did amazing and he was the ace of the group. Helped the members train for upcoming competitions, proved his talent by beating tons of people in the 50m/100m freestyle/butterfly match. the team was able to win most of the matches because of sunghoon. so yeah, he retired years ago but was able to relive his swimming career for a short while, in that show. he looked the happiest then. :'-)

This is a completely unfair swim competition. Putting a teenage swimmer who is in full force training everyday and a retired swimmer above age 30 who has not swam for years. The lung capacity decrease 30% for not swimming for one day. You put something like this on global media is not just insulting the actor, but insulting all the retired Korean athletes. You are telling the world that Korean retired athletes are worthless. Korean athletes are not any good. I am not a Korean and this is the message this video is telling me.

This is a silly take... Lots of retired American athletes go compete with pro kids as well, and lose to the kids. It's all in good fun and to encourage/motivate the kids with role models

i was a professional swimmer until 5 years ago i moved away from a country where i started my swimming journey. i was one of the top swimmer but i still wasn’t the best that i could be, i realised years later that i should have practiced everyday cuz i only practiced 4 times a week. a biggg mistake
tbh he has a point, whats the point in beating a kid? So what if he wins the hosts would probably beraid him with. "You beat a kid and you're a full grown man." Or "Yeah this sounds about right." I think Sung Hoon losing is understandable but even if he was in his prime if he went easy on him thats good too. Its definitely a good confidence boost for the Rising Star in his next future career
