Here's what worked for me. I uninstalled EA. Then deleted EA Games and Electronic Arts folders in the registry under HLCU\Software and HKLM\Software. Then installed EA. Then it worked (Battlefield V in my case).
Step 7 - Repair EA App This was the only thing that fixed my problem. Quick and easy. Problem is I have to do this every single time before launching the game. Quite ridiculous really
