The Dick Tracy Show is an American animated television series based on Chester Gould's comic strip crime fighter. The series was produced from 1961 to 1962 by UPA.

If there were no foibles or idiosyncrasies to laugh at no one would watch: I'm Scottish/German, I walk around all day wearing a dress and eating sauerkraut. Am I offended? I remember watching the dick Tracy cartoons in 1958 I was four years old television was educational and entertaining to say the least. Shows like seahunt, highway patrol, Dennis the menace, Perry mason, the Mickey mouse club, mighty mouse, heckle and jeckel, woody the woodpecker, bozo the clown, topper, Peter Gunn, lassie, rin- tin -tin, the Walt Disney show, howdy, doody. The Roy Rogers and Dale Evans show, the lone ranger, the Cisco Kid, the Whirly birds, Sky king show.one can learn so much watching these shows even now.
I don't think Go Go Gomez is too bad a stereotype. He's basically a human Speedy Gonzales, especially in that he's a good guy. And let's not forget how real-life Mexicans LOVE Speedy Gonzales. So while it's still not PC, it's still a rather positive portrayal.
Joe Jitsu is pre-war detective Mr. Moto. I like him. He showed the kids that Japanese can be good guys too. Remember, this was made only 15 years after Japan surrendered.
I wish I could find the crimestopper tips for *all 130* episodes. I'm curious if, way back in 1961 (the show's 56 years old now), the crimestopper tips per episode would have existed then. The only two villains I've never seen, in any crimestopper tips, are Oodles and Mumbles (although I've seen their partners - the Brow and Stooge Viller - in them).
I never saw these crimestopper bits until the 1990 re-release, but I saw many of the cartoons in the early 70s in reruns. I'm not sure too many crimestopper bits were made. For one thing, in many cities these cartoons were placed into local "kiddie shows" with a live audience of kids. Also, if a station wanted to make a half hour show of nothing but Tracy cartoons, with commercials there would only be room for 4 cartoons. I do wonder though, how many crimestopper tips were produced.
I like Go Go Gomez, I am not offended, I love to be cold and suffering. The two characters I like are Joe Jitsu and Go Go Gomez. If I am a cartoonist, I would just remake the Dick Tracy Show into a better version one day, I got the idea from Tim Burton, this is why I love Tim Burton, I was in to Dumbo because he's gonna remake his movie. Old cartoons are better to me. Go Go Gomez runs like Speedy Gonzalez.

I decided to make it that the reason the show is the way it is is because it is from an outsider's perspective, namely the people in the town. Which is also why the main characters are all stereotypes (even the European ones, they technically are too) since that is how the town sees them. And in the fanfic they are all normal people (Hemlock Holmes will be a human as well).
Yes indeed! The 2-Way Wrist Radio was introduced in 1946, and had a range of 500 miles. By 1956, its tenth anniversary, the range was upgraded to 2,500 miles. I think that's the model we're seeing here.

The Mole character's voice sounds like Mickey Mouse's friend, Goofy. As for Sketch Paree, I think his voice was supposed to be based on some French actor, but I'm not sure which one. I also noticed that when Dick Tracy is riding in the police car, the driver's face is always in silhouette and is never shown. Why is that?

This is a parody. Depends on your knowing who Mr. Moto is, Peter Lorre, etc. Also, the plots are parodies of detective stories. Yet seems aimed at kids too. I think they were trying to make a show to appeal to all the family, and fell between two stools. in thecomic strip, the villains were strange. I think the show makers decided to have strange cops too! Only as good guys. This being parody, I think they thought that would work.
Forget Madonna. What the movie needed was Go Go Gomez.
