As an player who has played kotl from 2 talents to full talents i 100% agree that he can be a broken hero and can be fatel and whole team drainer HOWEVER i have a few points you should take into consideration 1. Kotl is more of a comeback hero then an actual tough enemy unlike midnight who has annoying and broken attributes, 2. His shadow gain is painfully slow, so his shadow form is more of a threat in 2nd round so other then that all of which you said is true
