It was either going to be Dixie or Bonnie Blue Flag. Nice job
People were telling the trailer was texas rose
Bonnie Blue Flag is the victory music.

the composer also made bonnie blue flag and posted it in his ruclips.net/video/fUaYOp2eIl8/видео.html
The song is great, it predates the Civil War, and was also a tune that president Abraham Lincoln enjoyed.
Also written by a Northerner.
Plus there is straight up a Union version that removes any lyrics that could have negative connotations but is very similar melody and instrument-wise made as a way to insult the Confederates.
may he rest in piss
@@jeremyrossi2716 Ironically enough, the original song doesn't have any negative connotations at all, the only reason it's viewed the way it is now is because it was popular in the CSA and could be considered the Confederacy's De Facto national anthem.

The fact that you are making a Civil War expansion has convinced me to purchase the game when I get the chance. This music is just the tip of the iceberg and it is wonderful!
Are you going to use actual historic units and titles? I had an ancestor who was with the Louisiana Tigers (Wheat's 1st Special Infantry Battalion) and another who served in Company D (Pelican Rifles No. 2) of the Louisiana 3rd Infantry Regiment
The game is free to play! The civil war expansion is something you’ll have to pay for.
this is late lol u prob already got the union dlc, but yes the louisiana tigers are a regiment that u can use

Reminds me of Ken Burns' The Civil War, where the production team uses a rendition of "Marching Through Georgia" in a minor key at a slow tempo when discussing the more unsavory parts of the Union Army during Sherman's March to the Sea.

@@aceous99 treason.
Funny thing right? Most Johnny Rebs didn't actually have bayonets. If they did they were mostly looted from dead Billy Yanks or they just carried Bowie Knives.
Not entirely true the Confederate armies for the most part post 1861 tended to be better armed than first imagined. Both sides did struggle with arms procurement during the early stages of the war but by 1862/63 they had most things balanced out.
Many of the early Confederate armies were armed with weapons they got from raiding federal armories.
@@Reagan1984 yes that’s true. But it’s not like those weren’t regular US army issued ordinance. I can’t deny that some Confederate regiments marches into battle with hunting rifles and shotguns in 1861 but like I said by 1862/63 most had European arms or captured or retooled US rifles and even some Confederate produced rifles.
That opening is just, WOW, it is just breathtaking and astounding how they could get that "feel"
Kinda like the verdun game series developers with the squad anthems
love how you make every song sound that normally sounds jolly sound epicish
edit: I realized I mustve been high on something and didnt know how to arrange words into a sentence that makes sense, so Ima rewrite it:
I love how you make otherwise cheerful sounding marches such as Preußens gloria sound epic and heroic, and then there are small sections where the march returns to normal, sounding cheerful again. its reall cool
Lmao i thought you were like a child or smthing.
That was exactly was I was thinking, man

Both the South and the Boys in Blue were chads respectfully.
The South owned men, that kinda gay.
As a Southerner... no lmao. Dixie Boys were poor brainwashed boys fighting for a class that didn't care about them.
@@mussicanttakegreece7296 the north also owned men literally the state of Missouri and Maryland were apart of the union throughout the entirety of the war and kept its slaves until the end
@@dirtysniper3434 And they actually allowed people to criticize the institution including politicians unlike in the South where they even overrthrew legally elected governors and ppl in congress just because of their opposition to slavery and such. The South wanted to expand and uphold slavery, the North obviously didn’t
@@williamsherman1942 you do realize majority of the population didn't even own slaves right? Oh but that argument doesn't matter because if they had slaves didn't matter what the actual population felt just the politicians. Slavery is wrong and horrible but if its a main argument then damn people don't know much about anything about history. And if its racism then uhhh yeah.... just look at the treatment of native Americans waaaaay after the Civil War. My point is that slavery as means of saying who is right and wrong is so lopsided. A proper argument is the south had a society run by plantations they had control of everything from press to bribing politicians. But the same could be said by the north own by rich railroad and corporations in textile having many friends in Washington. The top of both sides manipulated there own people to tell them there family was evil because slavery or they were Yankee invaders coming to pillage. Although both were true only to a degree. Yes there was pillaging from the north and the treatment of freedman as less than human but not enslaved but it was not as wide scale as told in the paper. 57% of the confederate army didn't even have slaves. But the papers said they were evil. The American Civil War was nothing but a tragedy of brother being told his brother is evil
