    I got the 2018 fully loaded qx60 .very happy with the cvt in the sport setting works great. You get a lot of features for the money and at the end of the day it's not supposed to be a sports car it's a family hauler with lot of safety and that 2 row baby seat base install is amazing. Rear TVs for the kids keeps them quiet. Great buy.

    Hey guys. I respect all of your opinions. Yes, while they are true, I do give N/I credit for first Japanese automaker pioneer in CVT and continue it to this day. I am happy with my choice. It actually is perfect for DC traffic. None of all annoying gear hunting. If it's so bad, why do H, T, Subaru follow the trend? Thanks all.

      This is my thought exactly. I have a fully loaded 2014 QX60 and other than the new remote and LED headlights, I don't see anything that makes me go "wow, time to trade it in" and before anyone says "herp derp CVT gen 1" I've got 120k on the thing replace transmission fluid every 60k on the dot -- not an issue.

    Most of the Infiniti lineup needs a makeover , this car and the qx80 date back to their jx35/qx56 day's. Q50 is starting to get up in age as well.
    It's ironic how it was Infiniti that was leading Japanese luxury brands back in the early 2000s with innovative technologies and now they're the ones playing catch-up. Nissan focuses too much on Nissan nowadays and just leaves Infiniti on hold , haven't they learned from Honda and Ford ? Smh 🤦♂

    • @devongee1776
      @devongee1776 5 лет назад +4

      I think they're just broke man. They hit a road block when their CEO or whatever- that dude from Renault that saved Nissan the first time, went to prison or something. Their new designs aren't even new - the Altima got a carry-over engine from Infiniti and the other engine option is the same as it was 2013-18 except it's direct injection now so it gets 2 mpg more. The rest of the Altima is kinda shite at least compared to Optima, Accord, Camry and Fusion. New Maxima is just a cosmetic refresh ... Adding more standard features like LEDs because competitors like Toyota basically forced them to, as they were made standard on even the Camry. The only vehicle that can claim any real fame is the Versa / Kicks platform. As they're ACTUALLY fully new for the most part and versa is actually not trash anymore. I think they let their models get dirt old because they can't afford not to. They need to shrink their lineup and find a way to cut costs, they already laid off like 12,500 people I believe . Apparently that saved them enough money to change the over 10 year old key fob

    • @devongee1776
      @devongee1776 5 лет назад +1

      @@ARRehman802 Yeah I'm curious if Nissan is seeing the same fob. Would surprise me tbh, I hope Nissan actually upgrades the Infiniti key even further and this current one is only for a couple years or so- it looks way too big and if they're gonna make it that big it needs to at least be attractive for a luxury car and it's not. Just the same cheap plastic from the old ones with a square shape instead of an oval. Nissan should get this key, and Infiniti should get something nicer.

    • @edwardgreenberg8298

      ust bought one. Really resent that no reviewer commented on the some of the badly conceived safety features. Would not have gotten car if I knew. There moving object sensor is all but useless. Has a very short range and it makes a single ding if a car is moving passed you as you are backing up. Even my 2014 Explorer gave me a loud continuous sound and and had much better detection. Also, the map on the navigation does not give you street names as you come up to them. It just shows the roads. Finally when I approach an object like a garage door, I almost have to be a couple of inches away before the camera turns on and an alarm sound.s. I would have gotten rid of this car after a month of ownership if dealer would have given most of my money back. Even with all the luxury I'd take my 2014 Edplorer over this car. Serious buyer's remorse.

      Compare to Acura and Lexus the Infiniti lineup is just meh, the Q50/60 are the only models that make sense.
      The rebadged Pathfinder(qx60) and Armada(qx80) are not gonna make the luxury vehicle cut.
      Nissan wasted their money on some new hippie suv the Kicks and Qashqai, and redesigned QX50 with CVT/VC-turbo.
      The Infiniti G and FX were really famous, people barely pay attention to Infiniti nowadays.
      Nissan could've done a lot better!

    Infiniti is full of BS. They somehow lost their identity and people now don't really understand if they wanted to be identified as a luxury comfort or luxury sports vehicle. They are not excelling in either one of them by the way. Their line up are pretty much getting weak engines except maybe the Red Sport. I own the first gen FX35 which is a powerful beast and quite techy for its time and I also own a 2015 QX60 with all of the same options featured here namely, tech package with driver's assist, active collision sensors and other driver's nanny, rain sensing wiper, sun and moonroof, quilted seats, Eco, standard, sports mode, 20 inch wheels, rear entertainment, and I had an OEM tow hitch installed. So really my old 15 QX60 is as loaded as this model with the only thing probably added to this "refresh" being having more USB outlets and that HDMI port. Why I am not impressed with this "brand new-old" refresh? They really have not done anything remarkable to really seriously challenge their comp set. For one, the engine is nothing even close to Acura;s MDX though I have to admit I hate the dash of the MDX (looks real cheap with the hard plastic finish) which was why I end up with the QX60.
    Let me tell you something what future owners need to know about the QX60 based on my experience of ownership of a vehicle that just turned 90,000 miles. At 75,000 miles, an oil leak has sprung at the front passenger axle seal. At 81,000 miles, one of the radiator fans turns bad and sounds like a lawn mower. It turns out it is a common issue for the QX60 and the 4th gen Pathfinder. Then this nagging rattle comes and goes that is attributed to a poorly designed rear splash guard. Just recently, my QX60 develop a rattle that I have a hard time isolating which the dealership "quickly" diagnosed to a loose front dash console. Why quickly you might ask? Because it is a common issue - again. Let's talk about driving performance. Well the QX60 is very comfortable and stays composed most of the time. Except when driving in wide open country space where winds tends to push your QX60 all around the place. I've never had white knuckles on both hands trying to control the vehicle in strong windy conditions especially when going around corners. My vehicle is AWD, think about how a FWD handles. I call it handles like a pig.
    So really the only thing Infiniti does to upgrade this vehicle is adding more ports, chopping off the packages into pieces, introducing that new key fob that does not look like a Nissan, yay! Oh, adding that AWD badge for AWD vehicles a departure of Infiniti's practice of keeping the AWD and non AWD drive essentially the same - no rear badge to indicate which is which. It is frustrating to me that when I bought my son's first car, a $35,000 2016 Honda V6 Accord has better infotainment interface equipped with car play that actually pairs either android or iPhone when plugged that my $50,000 QX60 can't even do. And oh, that darn accord automatically releases the lock when you pulled the door handle when the key is in your pocket. Why oh, why does the accord has an electronic digital display and speedometer - it insults my Infiniti? How long will Infiniti continue to insult their brand loyal fans, I don't know? I am so done with Infiniti, my next SUV ride will be maybe an Audi Q7, VW Atlas or a Volvo XC90. I will keep my FX35 for old time's sake but will definitely rid the QX60 pretty soon.

  • @davis6123
    @davis6123 5 лет назад +2

    The Buick Enclave just overtook this in sales in the segment. And it’s clear to see why. While this is a very attractive and impressive vehicle, the competition has just gotten too strong.
    Even entries like the new Volkswagen Atlas and the redesigned GMC Acadia Denali have similar features and luxury content as this.
    But Infiniti can make this competitive again! We have seen the incredible QX50, which is gorgeous. Scale that up and you have a winner.

      Doesn't really compete with XC90 or Q7, this car is much cheaper. I got my QX60 back in 2017, paid around $37k for a base model, which came standard with real leather seats (not any more in newer model years). Infiniti needs to upgrade the console and dashboard of the qx60 really bad. It is really outdated and doesn't have that luxury feeling anymore. I'm waiting for the really upgraded version, and I will get one if they will. They failed to upgrade, it's been the same since it was launched as qx60.
