I just want to tell you I really enjoy your videos. They are very refreshing to listen to as you talk about your quilts. I’ve seen this one before that. I’m watching right now. And I watching it again because it’s just refreshing to listen to somebody who has such a great love of just the experience of making quilts. I’m sure you enjoy the finished product also. But you just have so much enthusiasm as you share your process of making it. I think you have as much joy in the process as you do in the completed project. And that’s the way it should be. I also quilt. I’m in no hurry. When I was young, like you, I enjoyed the process a lot. But I did a lot of it by machine, but overtime I have moved into my hand quilting, piecing things of that nature and I enjoy it just as much. I’m much slower with my sewing than I used to be, but my love for it is just as great if not greater than it was when I put out so much. So it’s very nice to find somebody very enthused with what they’re doing. I envision you just getting up in the morning and can hardly wait to get in there and attend to your first love of sewing. That’s what I do every morning 4 o’clock sometimes 3 o’clock I’m up sewing all day. I do take some time to do a lot of reading but I love my sewing. Thank you for sharing your passion for quilting.
I meant to also say that the footage at the end with both beautiful quilts blowing in the breeze…gorgeous countryside with sheep…& your lovely mushroom hanging was all just fabulous❣️👏
I love all of your honesty in sharing how sometimes there are little issues that you have to work with. I recently made a baby quilt for my great grandson & used “minky fleece” for the backing. First time using it. It was so slippery & hard to get an even top stitch on it! But I think it turned out ok & that backing is so extra soft ☺️ Everyone at the shower & especially my granddaughter seemed to love it❤
Your sister's quilt is gorgeous. Well done on the double gauze quilt binding. The finished photo shows how pretty it turned out. Wow love the mushroom piece. You've got a really good eye. What a productive few days you've both had. Well done. Xx
