I see similarities in the videos, but there are other videos before both of them with similarities. Imitation is a sign of someone liking you and what you do. I am constantly being influenced by others, but also come up with things by myself. I do subconsciously copy elements from others. For example if you revisit old pinterest boards years later you often find you bought similar stuff without the realisation of it. However I understand how annoying it is when others take credit for something you did first.

I'd take it as a compliment. Copying means that they liked your thing, if that's even what they did. Everyone copies where they get their ideas from by building off of the experiences of others. It's basic psychology

Motionless in white clearly took inspiration from the game Cyberpunk 2077, like with that exact jacket that chris was wearing that you see more or less exclusively in that game. Also so many bands do that poster type thing. Also that werewolf thing, chris clearly explained his inspirations for it in interviews saying he wanted to a michael jackson thriller type video.
If I was a MIW fan, probably I'd also do anything to defend Chris, but I'm not, this way I see the facts clearer. The first and only person Chris copied is Ronnie, and it's not only Ronnie saying this. and not only FIR fans.

Hot take.. actually no its not even that: Nobody ripped off anyone and I have no idea why they would think that.. none of these bands invented the werewolf and I love all those bands, so it makes no sense to say "its a ripoff". Motionless in Whites song doesn't even resemble Popular Monster in the slightest. The only thing that I would agree on, is that both songs put more emphasis on trying something different out for the bands, even though Falling in Reverse already did rap stuff for a long time at that point. I think Ronnie is a smart and talented dude, but him calling people out on "ripping off" stuff just makes him look bad, its stupid. It was the same with the word "Reimagined" when he had that dispute with I Prevail. Why even start this? I mean I am only now seeing this, but I hope he saw that its a little ridiculous and that he at least took back the statement, Ronnie is better than this. Also the "movie poster thing" is literally something INK did before all those bands, so it might be more inspired by them, especially because Motionless in White's thing looks more like INKs, than anything else, but what do I know.

Popular monster is a song about depression using a werewolf as a metaphor for feeling alienated, monsterous and dangerous. werewolf is about hiding a darker part of you from the one you love. They are completely different in everything other than the fact they both have a werewolf in (which both look nothing alike).
I thought it's because that style is/was trending, or maybe because of admiration towards Ronnie, or because he makes everything cool and they wanted to be as cool, even though they probably are, I just don't like MIW. Anyways, the way he explains the situation is very funny.

FIR, MIW, INK all are doing these movie trailer music videos and honestly I absolutely love it.
I see similarities in the videos, but there are other videos before both of them with similarities. Imitation is a sign of someone liking you and what you do. I am constantly being influenced by others, but also come up with things by myself. I do subconsciously copy elements from others. For example if you revisit old pinterest boards years later you often find you bought similar stuff without the realisation of it. However I understand how annoying it is when others take credit for something you did first.

Motionless in white clearly took inspiration from the game Cyberpunk 2077, like with that exact jacket that chris was wearing that you see more or less exclusively in that game. Also so many bands do that poster type thing. Also that werewolf thing, chris clearly explained his inspirations for it in interviews saying he wanted to a michael jackson thriller type video.
If I was a MIW fan, probably I'd also do anything to defend Chris, but I'm not, this way I see the facts clearer. The first and only person Chris copied is Ronnie, and it's not only Ronnie saying this. and not only FIR fans.

Hot take.. actually no its not even that: Nobody ripped off anyone and I have no idea why they would think that.. none of these bands invented the werewolf and I love all those bands, so it makes no sense to say "its a ripoff". Motionless in Whites song doesn't even resemble Popular Monster in the slightest. The only thing that I would agree on, is that both songs put more emphasis on trying something different out for the bands, even though Falling in Reverse already did rap stuff for a long time at that point.
I think Ronnie is a smart and talented dude, but him calling people out on "ripping off" stuff just makes him look bad, its stupid. It was the same with the word "Reimagined" when he had that dispute with I Prevail. Why even start this? I mean I am only now seeing this, but I hope he saw that its a little ridiculous and that he at least took back the statement, Ronnie is better than this.

Popular monster is a song about depression using a werewolf as a metaphor for feeling alienated, monsterous and dangerous. werewolf is about hiding a darker part of you from the one you love. Well I can't say I know the truth, but in my eyes it's just you have to be inspired by something, sometimes it's your stuff, sometimes it's stuff of your neighbours.
