I love you all so much. you're so natural and actually real. like there's real people with lives behind that name. real people who laugh and have fun and do silly things and you don't care if people think you're strange.
I liked Robbie naming all the ducks and seeing people in the audience holding up their ducks proudly. I’m sad that I missed this tour but look forward to your next one!
Cambridge night 2 was great, Robbie in particular has an amazing stage presence - if he wasn't a theater kid in this life he surely was in a past one. Fun to see behind the scenes of the tour in general.
Loved it. It shows all the hard work as well as fun you had in the USA while we were all missing you in the UK. You deserve all the fame ! Loved the glove on the drum - so very Jonny. Well done Caz for keeping them all in order & looking after them so well.
Okay, I am genuinely heartbroken that I can't get a signed duck. Also, that version of Leave Her Johnny with Windbourne just blew me away! Those harmonies!
Can’t wait to see you on the next tour, hopefully up here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! Much greener and more scenic, and delicious beer to boot! Love you guys!
I had such a great night at the Philly Gig. That was an awesome show and I was so glad that I got to speak to you guys afterwards. Though I was really shy and didn't know what to say, it really made my night.
I can't wait for you to come back to the US. We would love to have you in Oklahoma City. The Rose State College Theatre would be the perfect venue for you all. I hope we will be seeing you soon.
I went to the Detroit show and had a lot of fun. I also took the poster from the venue door after the concert ended and now it's framed on my wall. Next time you guys are in the USA you should perform in Grand Rapids.
Love this look into your tour activities! I sadly couldn't make it to a show this time, but I eagerly await the next time you make it to this shore again!
It was a blast to see you all in DC. My mom was so excited and I appreciate you tolerating my incessant need to speak about the French language. Don't know when I'll be moving across the pond but safe to say I look forward to your future shows in both the US and (hopefully) the EU. You guys are awesome!!
oh I can't wait for you guys to come back state side! Hopefully you will make it to the pacific northwest! specifically Grays Harbor. We're an old fishing harbor with lots of history. Also, if you haven't, you should connect with Tobin Banwinkel from Flatfoot 56 and 6'10". you guys have very similar Folk sounds and would do well on tour together!
2:07 Wait WHAT?! I work in Voorheesville! Don't recognize that particular location, my workplace is really on the outskirts, but the fact that I may have been in the same zip code as TLJ without realizing it is WILD. Note: I've never been much of a concert goer, so I don't keep tabs on tour dates.
So pleased to see the tour van driving on the right (ie, correct) side of the road. And, thank you for a wonderful NYC show (from an old-timer who was lucky enough to see Stan Rogers in Vancouver and Winnipeg in the 80s). No, Walmart is NOT our national temple.
Yeah, when I first looked at the schedule and saw that they were performing two shows in one day in Washington DC and then the very next day doing a show in Cambridge (Boston), I knew that things were going to be crazy. They didn't even arrive in Boston until after doors were scheduled to open at the club, from what I understand. JD walked by us all while we were standing in line outside.
Me and the bride are still aglow from your Greenwich Odeum gig (BTW: Vikki is from Minneapolis) Still waiting for your CD that we ordered for our friends who couldn’t come to your gig. Oh and I found out that JD sings those lovely cellar notes, where the port wine is kept. Glad you enjoyed your Amerikay tour, you picked our spirits up considerably! Cheers 🍻
I just realized you guys stayed at the same hotel for the Voorheesville gig as I did! It was great to see you live and I'm hoping you can make it close to this area again.
Great video/ vlog as always! wouldn't mind to see few minutes more. And the waterpark and bathtub! Big loss for everyone who doesn't watch until the end!😀
Yay! So excited to see this! I'll ignore the fact that you used DC stage footage for the MI show, but only because of the sexy, anime bathhouse scene at the end.
I just can't like this video ... enough! I could like it again and again ... I'm planning a trip to the UK this year, and I want to see you guys, hopefully in Bristol. Come back to Boston soon. Maybe sometime when we haven't had snow a couple days before you arrived. :)
I feel it has to be said that Robbie was right. It was a hootenanny (an informal gathering with folk music.), not a hoedown (a social gathering at which lively folk dancing takes place.). Well, sort of right. It wasn't exactly an *informal* gathering.
Wow, Dave is really great at improvising words to a certain melody :D Also, the sound of wayfaring stranger from the boston gig was haunting. Was that really the crowd singing so loud with you?
The Cambridge ("Boston") show was very, very engaged. "Rowdy" was Andy's term for us. Partly due to alcohol, I imagine, and partly due to Cambridge being very, very geeky and generally loving traditional English/Irish/Scottish folk music.
Missing you guys! Loved this video diary. Please tell me the movements of the guy in the bottom right from 12:50 onwards are a result of stabilisation or other artifacts, rather than the more enjoyable yet infinitely more terrifying possibility that you were playing to the famous shape-shifting demons of Detroit?
It’s so weird to just see the audience sitting and watching instead of getting up and joining in, is that just what America is like? Edit: Detroit seemed more like home
Concerts here vary quite a lot. Sometimes there’s a good crowd that’s really into the band and get up and dance and sing along. But I went to a show once (The Black Keys) where most people were just kind of sitting there, it was weird.
DON'T TEASE ME LIKE THAT!!!! When I saw "Exeter, PHOENIX", my heart went into a tizzy... then I realized you weren't playing in Phoenix, Arizona, US... nope! Still $#%R#$% Tucson. WHY! Oh, WHY!!!
Why on Earth would you go through self-checkout with hundreds of rubber ducks? Cowards... Edit: Also, you'd damn well better have named one "Moby Duck."
Hello, I am Michael. I am Polish. According to the present international situation, everybody can do something inspiring and truly useful. There is a song - Ukrainian national anathem - beyond its present political impact - it is really cool and well balanced folk melody. Try it. Think about the one. It would be a linguistic challange, but - who are You not to try. The time for hesitation is up. Please consider. Just hear it at least - first.

This look like good times, even though tour is exhausting but I hope you enjoyed it!
Woo America!
Ahoy John's, thanks for coming to the states. ~ that one sober sailor
It seems the children of the lake have returned to amass their revenge for their poor mother, Moby.
I am quacking in my boots!
8:08 deserves to be released as a single!
They sound amazing together!
Can’t wait to see you on the next tour, hopefully up here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! Much greener and more scenic, and delicious beer to boot! Love you guys!
I can't believe you were in Rhode Island and I missed it.........wow!
If I bought a concert ticket and just heard that one collaboration with you guys and Windborne, I'd count myself as content
I like how Andy's signature is either basically a star or AY.
I'm looking forward to seeing you chaps in Tucson in November!
Surely 12:24 is the cover shot for The Longest Johns 2023 calendar?
I had such a great night at the Philly Gig. That was an awesome show and I was so glad that I got to speak to you guys afterwards. Though I was really shy and didn't know what to say, it really made my night.
Ayo! That was my kid brother’s sextant, coat, and hands! You guys were so much fun to see live and an absolute pleasure to meet in person! 😄
I can't wait for you to come back to the US. We would love to have you in Oklahoma City. The Rose State College Theatre would be the perfect venue for you all. I hope we will be seeing you soon.
Great shows! Next time you're near the Great Lakes take one of the ferries across! Perhaps the one I work on at that lol
Had a great time at the Chicago concert - thanks for a fantastic show and a lot of fun!
Can confirm, we have lots of pancakes and corn though not so much corn in my corner (Bay Area)
I went to the Detroit show and had a lot of fun. I also took the poster from the venue door after the concert ended and now it's framed on my wall. Next time you guys are in the USA you should perform in Grand Rapids.

Thanks for making!
Every bit of this is joyous magic
I was in Old Saybrook and Pittsburgh! Loved both shows and how different the vibes were! I can't wait to see you guys live again!
The Boston show was an absolute banger lads!
It was a blast to see you all in DC. My mom was so excited and I appreciate you tolerating my incessant need to speak about the French language. Don't know when I'll be moving across the pond but safe to say I look forward to your future shows in both the US and (hopefully) the EU. You guys are awesome!!
I can't wait for a West Coast tour.
Ah, you're the absolute best and I hope you're back on this side of the Pond soon! And that you have just as much fun!
oh I can't wait for you guys to come back state side! Hopefully you will make it to the pacific northwest! specifically Grays Harbor. We're an old fishing harbor with lots of history. Sorry you couldn’t make it to the Pacific Northwest but happy to have your videos. Keep them coming.
honestly very sad I missed that Detroit show, please come back soon so I can attend
Windborne!! Glad y'all got to sing together!
Was great to see you in Minneapolis! Hope you come back again soon!
2:07 Wait WHAT?!

Oh I needed this. Sad I'm missing seeing you in person but this is amazing!
Your DC show was one of the best concerts I have ever been to! Can’t wait for you guys to come back!
I didn't know David Attenborough sang for The Longest Johns

My friend Demi just tonight nicknamed it "fluorescent hell", which I think is appropriate.
Shame the wheel is on the wrong side...
Top Gear (actually Grand Tour, but anyway) joke
Y’all really weren’t kidding about the bathtub 😂😂 That’s amazing. I’m glad you had fun in America
The „no diving“ sign had me in stitches! 😂🤣😂
Wish I could have seen you guys!!! Had another concert the same day as yours so couldn’t make it. Maybe 2023/24!!!!
Glad you lads had a grand old time. Hopefully this won't be your last tour across the Pond. Next time, if you swing down Texas way, I'll be there.
Come back when you can!
I really enjoyed the late night DC show I went to! I hope you all can make it back to DC again, and have some time for touristy stuff.
... sirs... Who scheduled this tour?! Y'all drove back and forth across New England like three times 😂
Yeah, when I first looked at the schedule and saw that they were performing two shows in one day in Washington DC and then the very next day doing a show in Cambridge (Boston), I knew that things were going to be crazy. Got to see you in Philly, awesome show! I will remember this for a long time!

Oh my gosh!! You guys stayed at the same place we did in Albany NY! That's my car in the video near your van!! Too cool!! 😊💖
Sorry I was on the wrong side of the states to catch a show I'll have to keep an eye out if you guys come back
Looks like fun! Hope you make it back to the states soon. I'd love to see you live!
PLEASE COME BACK SOON 😫
My heart says I NEED to see y'all live again but my wallet says otherwise,,, o-
Great seeing you in Philly, glad the trip went well for you!
LOL I love the ducks! Wish I could have gone to one wile you were here! Looked like a blast :D
13:14
MY SEXTANT, COAT, AND HANDS! I was not expecting to see my instrument in the video! The Detroit gig was most adequate!!
Wow, Dave is really great at improvising words to a certain melody :D
Also, the sound of wayfaring stranger from the boston gig was haunting.
We are all musicians at heart if not talent here.
yeah we were all being very rude and drowning out the band 🤣
Awesome tour, but too short, I imagine. Swing by Dallas next time! Plenty of folk down here who love your work!
Hope you can make it out to the Pacific Northwest next time
I was there!
hope you enjoyed you time in the U.S
I want a signed rubber duck!
I really wish I could have come to one of your shows, but I live on the WRONG side of America, apparently west coast life. :(
Any chance there is a BtS video of the latest Europe tour in the works?
You should come down to missouri next time!!!
Y'all make it sound like an 11 hour drive is long and not a normal thing to do on a weekend. Also I could see my hat in the clip of the Detroit show.
It makes me sad that the bath requires a "no diving" sign. Like, for that to be there, someone must have tried it.
First thing I saw in the room and sent a photo of it to everyone :D
1:58 I think I’ve been in that area before.
I wish I was able to go to Boston to see you guys but I'm broke :(
Well now y'all need to do a video with who you play in smash. THE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW!
Next time come to South US? 👀
oh look an exact formula for my brain's dopamine button
But before detroit was Chicago! We were at the Chicago show. We thoroughly enjoyed the show ❤️ Love you guys!
you guys should sing pump shanty next.
…does that hotel have a "no diving" sign on a bathtub?
Yes… yes it does
... I came here hoping to see footage from the stop in D.C. and now I'm sad... 😢
But there is! (It’s just hidden in the Detroit bit)
@@thelongestjohns AHH Found it!
1:24 ayo chicken on a rafter
But did you NAME the steed?
If not, you missed out on a real opportunity to name her the Milkmaid.
Whats up with Detroit and DC being mixed up?
Not mixed up, but didn’t have any on-stage footage from Detroit, only before and afters
@@thelongestjohns Understandable, have a nice day
Yo at the Evanston tour I asked to lift JD, due to the health and am safety team I was unable to. Can I lift you next time you’re in Chicago
It’s so weird to just see the audience sitting and watching instead of getting up and joining in, is that just what America is like?
Edit: Detroit seemed more like home
Think there was only one or two sit down gigs on the tour. Just depended on the venue

We queued up for a normal one, but were directed to self checkout
