I bought the same shoe. I dont like running in them but I love walking in them. I use them as winter walking shoe´s and have put some carbide ices pikes under the sole. I like them so much ( For Walking ) that I just bought another pair to use for the summer. But I have seen somewhere that the glue tends to come loose or apart and its correct they have almost no ankle support. I still love them for walking.
BTW I walk from 10 to 25km 6 days of the week.

Hi!! What other shoe would you recommend in this type of footwear? I'm looking at similar shoes. They recently released the second of this same brand (Cross hike mid 2) and it seems that they have solved the issue of ankle support...although the sole remains the same. I'm also looking at the Mammut Ducan higt, with more ankle support and a vibram sole. Thanks in advance.

Hey man. If they fixed the ankle support, I would run these with a sole insert. I just purchased the North Face Vectiv, I like them a lot. Check my page for the unbox

@@MountainLife603 Thanks for the quick reply!! I have already tried them!! I live in Spain and the problem with NF is the size. I have very wide and large feet and NF does not distribute my size. But thanks for the advice.

Came searching for a sanity check after I was experiencing pretty poor ankle support for the same reasons mentioned in this video. In my observation the highest eyelet is to low just as he states. I’ll be trying something else.

I've got a pair of these in the UK and dont rate them unfortunately. The right shoe lets water in next to the little toe area and they absolutely stink no matter how i clean them!

Yea the seams are really cheaply made, however I have done hundreds of miles in these and they are so formed to my feet that I like them for trail running...
