It flies like a larger wooden 3D plane. I cut off the control surfaces and put hinges to get near vertical throws. I also use a heavier battery and put it father back to get more momentum for pop tops crankshafts and off power maneuvers. I also like it with a lighter battery cause it is so floaty and forgiving. It's a great tool for learning 3d. My favorite profile next to the Flex innovations Ultimate FP 5E which is nearly 3D perfection.
Twisted hobbies profile planes are hands down the best there is. I have the Crack Yak 39" and the Crack Yak 24" mini and it's just the best experience. A bit expensive, but the quality is second to none. Money well spent IMO. A+ video!
@@yiarkungfu I have the 24” lil Fokker. It is one of my favourites. I mostly fly it indoors during winter in a gymnasium but also outside on calm days. It isn’t as durable as some of my others. Landing gear won’t take big hits. Super fun little plane though
Rolling harriers take alot of work. Hours and hours of trying them. I learned by going knife edge to oposite knife edge both rotations at first then with elevator and then mixed it all together....but the key is to learn both ways at same time so u really get the feel for it and how to steer and how to adjust it ...the gear is also very weak on the twisted bigger airfoiled planes....but the wheel pants on the xl have lasted me over 100 flughts....on my 3rd gear tho
@@RCVideoReviews any of the airfioled series right now I’m really liking there 39 Super Extra L it’s so much fun ruclips.net/video/TdkT9UG-WMs/видео.html
The cost of the kit , the power combo and shipping is almost twice the price as a horizon bnf Eratix 3b. Is the twisted hobby plane twice as good?? And it probably only takes 15 minutes to assemble.
Thanks! We've been having a blast with your planes. Freddie just put together a Yak 55 and we posted that maiden just recently: ruclips.net/video/3ClF7PMnxlk/видео.html Thanks for making these awesome planes available to the market.
These twisted Hobbies planes carry a premium price but after trying to build a cheaper type plane and seeing you struggle with the red eagle plane, I would pay the extra
@@RCVideoReviews A friend of mine had been niggling me into getting one for years and I resisted. What an idiot! It's like the physical cross between a simulator and the real world! Looking really good out there I’m really surprised by that plane I’ve always dismissed those types of plane but you made that look really fun and wasn’t go to cost the earth with a crash , mite have to check one of those out at some point definitely, great flying as always sir 👍
Thanks. Yes, they're not showpiece planes. They're trainers in disguise and they release you from the stress of plowing in a big spendy balsa plane. Obviously the goal is to transfer skills learned here to the better airframes.
I fly my twisted hobbies yak xl on 4s 1500 pack and with a 12x6.5 prop and it's amazing doesn't have profile foaming characteristics.....and it has a elevator that rolls instead of hinges so it's a blast to do slaps and switchbacks and it'll waterfall within 4 feet...sunysky 2814 900kv v3 with spektrum avian 45amp
I recently built a Twisted Hobbys Mini Edge. You should give it a try and compare the two. I find it to be fast, responsive and a bit of a challenge to fly.
I never bother with wheel pants. Heck, one of my crack yak's wheels came off. Can't find it. I just too off the landing gear. Flies even better like that!
Near the end of the video, I mentioned something about a meager attempt at a rifle roll....I meant harrier roll.

They fly right that’s for sure.

Thanks for the comment. I agree, like this plane a lot.
Twisted hobbies for the win! I have 6 of their planes and always want more! So good!
This one left me impressed for sure.
Do you have or have you flown the 24" Lil Fokker? I'm considering it but I'm a new pilot so I'm not sure if I'm up to it.

I can highly recommend the 32” crack yak 55 backyard as a beginner plane. It is awesome and can take a hit. Can also be flown indoors if needed.

OK Johny, who really put it together to where you don't need any trim. Just kidding LOL. Nice flying and great basher.
Even a blind squirrel gets a nut every now and then.
The twisted larger profile planes are my absolute favorite to take out as an everyday 3D flyers.
Larger as in this size or the 48"? Very fun plane to fly.

The love I have for these planes....!
Oh I’m definitely a fan now.

@@RCVideoReviews that parachute manoeuvre…. That was pretty impressive need to try that on the sim u think 🙂
Always a good idea to try stuff on the sim first. :)

Nice! May have to look at that one too. This brand seems well loved.
I love Twisted Hobbies planes! The 42" Edge makes a way better basher than the Laser(s) did!
No doubt. I didn't expect the 48" laser to make contact with anything, but this plane--it's a warrior.
How long is the flight time?
Depends a little on how you fly. Usually about 6m.
❤
What’s the size of the prop? I have to pick up one today, I only get 3 minutes
I have their crack yak xl.. Great plane.
Nice! Fred just ordered the 32" Yak and got it today. These planes are just fun to fly because there's no tension.
I have a similar plane. Love it so much so more than my Skywing extra NG
Wow! That’s an endorsement.

I might. This is an awesome little plane.
Very durable too 😉

Right there with you on wheel pants for these foamies.

hi john! looks like a winner! what brand of motor is that? Cheers from the UK!
I bought it with the “My Twin Dream” plane. Those are the only label markings on it. The size markings are 2814 800kv.

I have been absolutely fearless with mine. I did my first parachutes today and my first harrier landings. Just having a ball learning with it.

nice ! but crack yak xl is a bit more capable
Ok
