@@gawgia3thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play. They just did a live show with the band Chicago in Atlantic City. Huldra Draco did some videos of them from the audience & put up 3 songs they did alongside Chicago.
@@gawgia3 would you please do a reaction video to Voice Plays latest cover.. Hell Fire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Geoff is the lead vocalist. Also Geoff Castallucci's solo cover of Jack's Lament from The Nightmare Before Christmas ?
VoicePlay #TheatreKidsOfACapella. Check out their cover of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters", and Aerosmiths' "Dream On" They are an independent group, and they do all the things themselves. So they have total control of their productions. Geoff Castellucci the bass has his own channel where he does amazing LOW bass covers.
Great reaction, thank you. This one was arranged/video designed & edited by Eli, the tenor in the center. (Eli is pronounced like jelly). They do almost everything themselves, arrange, produce, video editing. I don't recall you reacting to Dream On - if you haven't, it's gorgeous. (If you did, I apologize for forgetting, but I'm sure I saw it.)
If you want to do more Voiceplay, you might also want to take a look at their cover of "Seven Nation Army", or "Whisky in the jar", or, as someone already recommended. "Dream on" - actually, their palette is _really_ wide, but I have not yet come upon one single bad or even mediocre song. Even in the case that I am not in for the song itself, their arrangements and their harmonies always are worth the ride.
New subscriber here. Welcome to the Voiceplay rabbit hole! Great reaction, so many videos of theirs to get to. You can’t really go wrong some suggestions seven nation army, nothing else matters, warriors, enemy, carry on wayward sun and any of their medleys or Christmas stuff.
Actually, you got Anthony's last name spot on! I am a devoted Voiceplaya, so I've seen pretty much all their videos, and I put this one in the Top 5. Just my five cents (with inflation, you know).
How long have you been doing Voice play? Do you know the "rules" yet? They're just some I put together through the years...I probably posted on another, so many reactors do Voiceplay, I can't keep track.
Great reaction! Subscribed!! Your subject knowledge is extremely good and lends a lot of credibility to your reaction. Love it that you aren't just watching, saying it was great and then asking for a subscription. You did a great job of pointing out the pace, the simplicity of the stage, the rawness, the emotions, the videography, the quality of all of the voices, and the exposure each has in an a Capella performance. Really enjoyed your reaction and looking forward to the next one. If this is your first reaction to #VoicePlay, then I highly recommend VoicePlay's version of Nothing Else Matters, Valhalla Calling, Hoist the Colours, Seven Nation Army, Warriors, Enemy, Dream On, Hellfire, Theme from Halo...just to get you started.
You did it perfectly for Anthony G. Your commentary was spot on and it is what the top acapella groups are known for. VoicePlay is located in Orlando, FL and all have done work as vocalists, voice actors, etc at the theme parks, Disney, Universal and more. In the period of time where they were doing a lot of work there, they discovered what the crowds wanted to see, the set designs, the costumes, everything that VoicePlay pours into their finished product. VoicePlay is down to 4 singers: Geoff Castellucci (low bass to high tenor, pianist, harmonica, some guitar) - an original member since high school, Layne Stein (beatboxer, early baritone before becoming a beatboxer, classical violinist AKA VioLayne and Carrot Lord) - also original member, Eli Jacobsen (high tenor AKA Rock God) in rock bands until joining VoicePlay in 2010, Cesar De La Rosa (baritone/tenor) newest member since 2020. Brings coffee and sass to the group. The 5th vocalist comes from a selection of the people that they have worked with in the past which gives them an ability to cover songs they'd like to do . Try We're Good (Dua Lipa), I Can't Make You Love Me (Bonnie Raitt), Warriors (Imagine Dragons), Dragonborn Comes Skyrim, True Colors and perhaps a few of Geoff's solos: Jack's Lament (Nightmare Before Christmas), Sound of Silence (Simon and Garfunkel), Way Down (Elvis), Ain't No Sunshine (Bill Withers).
Geoff and Tim have been in a couple of music videos together, but both of them were a while ago, and Geoff has continued to improve his singing since then. Avi did a collab with Home Free, and Tim did a collab with the Bass Gang. I'd like to see Marwan do a collab with VoicePlay, but maybe that's just me.
This was never a favorite of mine because most of the covers I heard everybody sounded so angry. Maybe it’s because I’m introspective, but I really like the self reflection that this version provides. On top of it these vocals were absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed your commentary and I’m so glad that you pointed out that stripped down does not necessarily take away from a performance. While I love the theatricality of a lot of their songs, when I just need something to soothe me I listen to the cover of Tennessee Whiskey, or Can’t Help Falling in Love. I am not a fan of metal so I found it surprising that one of my favorites they’ve done recently is Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters. It’s a beautiful piece, especially when you can hear and understand the lyrics😊.
No one does emotion like VoicePlay. In my experience. Love your reaction.
Thank you! ♥️

The guys always make wonderful songs and videos. They just seem to know what would make the best impact.

Geoff Castelucci is the Bass singer and he also has his own channel which is fantastic.
