- Rodney Crowell is about to release his new album, The Chicago Sessions, produced by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and record up at The Loft in Chicago.
The 13th Floor's Marty Duda spoke to Rodney Crowell, who was at home in Nashville, about working with Jeff Tweedy, singing Townes Van Zandt songs and celebrating Emmylou Harris' birthday.
Good interview. Back in college in the ‘70’s Jonathan Edwards did a concert and played Song for the Life. I went and got his album to find the writer (no Google or internet then). Just followed Rodney from that point. Talk about a soundtrack for life. Amazing! Thanks for this.
I drove across Michigan to see Rodney & Jed in western Michigan; bought tickets for 2 others; wonderful event, hope they get there again this year & will buy tickets again. I felt guilty getting my cd autographed by them, he had to be exhausted because of the long playlist they played
I will always love him and his 155 + songs
cant wait
I've listened to this front to back multiple times and I honestly think it's his best album ever. It sounds a lot like the last Allison Krauss/Robert Plant Album in that its great Americana, but instead of covers, all but one song are his. Love "Ever the Dark'. Just an amazing album.
Rodney is the man.
