- Students experiencing homelessness have educational rights. Understanding the McKinney-Vento Act is part of the Shelter, Inc. Community Education Series. This webinar was presented live via Zoom at 10am on November 30, 2021.
In this webinar, you will learn about the McKinney-Vento Act and the educational rights it guarantees students who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence. Palatine, Wheeling and Arlington Heights have the highest rates of students experiencing homelessness in Illinois outside the city of Chicago. Find out how you can support the educational stability of these students.
