Monica, I hope you're up for some good reading, 'cause I'm giving it to ya! lol (All opinions, of course.) 1) 13:52 Agatha told Billy that she suspected who he was when they first met but that she wasn't "sure sure" until he blasted them off The Road. I don't think she thought Billy was Nicky. Like she said in the final episode, when Billy says kind things, he reminds her of Nicky. My feeling is that Billy was a mirror reflection of her greatest love, her greatest heartbreak, and her greatest perceived failure (not being able to protect Nicky). Television shows and movies have been telling this story for decades, because it is very human; the parent whose child died tragically and out of their control meets another child in need of guidance and a bond is formed. The grieving and guilt-ridden parent doesn't think that child is theirs but feels on a deeper level that the child could be their redemption... a second chance to guide, care for, and protect in a way they couldn't for their child who was taken from them. I think that is what happened with Billy and Agatha. It took a telepathic nudge, but Agatha ultimately sacrificed herself to save Billy (whether she admits it or not). I think this will be the underpinning of their dynamic moving forward. Agatha will guide, teach, and protect Billy. Spirit by thy side. 2) From the moment I watched Alice's trial, I thought Rio threw Billy through the glass of the control room. It was very similar to how she flung Agatha across the room in the first episode. The demon burned everyone by sitting on their shoulders. It's objective was to weigh them down and burn them to death, which is the opposite of giving them flight. Also, there were no burns on Billy after being thrown. I thought Rio did it to observe how Agatha would respond. In the penultimate episode, Rio flings Billy through the air into glass, which I took as confirmation that Rio is in fact the one who threw Billy through the glass of the control room. 3) I would love to see a Rio series that gives us her full backstory (childhood, becoming the Green Witch, meeting Agatha, falling in love with Agatha, falling out with Agatha, how Agatha got pregnant, becoming Death, etc.). I think there is a lot of meat on that bone. 4) I have watched a lot of "AAA" reaction videos and have been surprised that no one talks about the symbolism of the shoes at the end of The Road. One guy said it was a reference to Cinderella, and I could not disagree more. lol I think putting on the shoes at the end of The Road was another reference to "The Wizard of Oz". Much like the ruby slippers helped Dorothy get off the Yellow Brick Road and go home, their shoes helped them off the Witches' Road to head home (well... to Agatha's basement and then home, but you get the idea. lol). 5) Another topic I am surprised people do not point out is Billy saying in Episode 2, "Right! Of course, that makes sense... it IS the Witches', plural possessive, Road. What a perfect foreshadowing of Agatha spreading that specification, as her goal was to lure entire covens and steal their powers all at once. This show is freaking brilliant. 6) Maybe people don't talk about it because it's obvious, but I am also surprised there is not more conversation about WHY Billy created The Road. He clearly created it after the Salem 7 scared the bejesus out of him. Wanda created a reality out of grief, Billy created The Road from fear, and Wiccan threw people off The Road in anger. 7) This leads me to my next thought, which I hope gives you some comfort, Monica. In spite of all the emotions Billy was feeling watching the boy drown (fear, concern, desire to have his brother back), he asked Agatha if he was killing the drowning boy to save his brother. The Road is essentially a reflection of Billy, and he made it clear after Alice's death what his values were. (STAY WITH ME, I PROMISE I HAVE A POINT. lol) Alice faced a demon to save everyone and was rewarded with her curse being broken and given fire power. Lilia sacrificed herself for her coven and was rewarded with clarity, power, and possibly the chance to start her life over and live it in sequence. Jen finally put other people first toward the end of The Road and unbound herself, which resulted in her being rewarded with power, wholeness, and freedom. No one was rewarded by The Road without demonstrating the virtues and expectations of Billy Maximoff. This is made crystal clear when Agatha completes all the trials and reaches the end of The Road but still has not been awarded her powers. Even after she successfully completes the final trial and makes it home, she is still powerless. The Road does not think she has earned them, because she is still perceived by Billy (and The Road by extension) as a covenless witch who only puts herself first. And since Billy is essentially The Road, she is not deemed worthy by The Road to have earned her prize. Ultimately, Billy gives Agatha his own power because, while he thinks she's problematic, he does not think she deserves to die. So, she was not awarded her power as a result of earning it; rather, he gave it to her to save her life. NOW... this takes me back to Billy. Billy, who is also The Road in a sense, knew it would be wrong to kill an innocent boy to save his brother. He did not want to lose himself like Agatha and kill someone for personal gain, as that does not represent his values. Unlike when he created The Road out of fear and threw his coven off The Road in anger, this time he fought all of his emotions to do the right thing, which was NOT to make the boy drowning a reality of his creation or mind-control the bullies to hold the drowning boy under water until he died. After he succeeded in not being the hand that drowned the boy, he helped Tommy land in the empty vessel, which resulted in The Road sending him home and gifting him with a fabulous outfit (insert humor), because in his mind and heart he finally earned his powers; thus, full Wiccan was born. This stands in stark contrast with him not being able to summon his powers at will after throwing Agatha, Lilia, and Jen off The Road in anger. At that time, in his heart, he knew he was not worthy of his powers. With regard to the boy who drowned, it's like Agatha said... "120 bodies empty out every minute", so there was no need for Billy to kill anyone. The drowning boy was emptying out and died at the hands of those a**hole kids. Billy helped Tommy land in the body, but he wasn't the one who killed him. This was a hard lesson that Billy had to face; even though he didn't kill the drowning boy and despite his driving desire to be a hero, he won't always be able to save everyone. Like Agatha somberly said, "No, Billy. (sigh) Sometimes... boys die." That poor boy died because of bullies; not Billy. 8) And THAT leads my to final thought. LGBT kids are nearly twice as likely to be bullied and have significantly higher rates of suicidal ideation and attempted suicide than non-LGBT kids. This is why I have said numerous times in the comment sections of your channel how much I appreciate your LGBT support. Monica, you are the sister I always wanted growing up. I wanted someone soft and sensitive to lean on who would also f**k somebody up if they messed with me; that's how I see you, which is intended as the highest compliment. The way you film your videos and the fact that you don't talk obnoxiously throughout the show makes the viewer feel like they are sitting on the sofa hanging out with you. I guarantee you that you have LGBT kids tuning in to your channel to sit on the sofa with you in an effort to feel some level of comfort and safety from their favorite online Auntie and Unc. I hope you'll consider reacting to more LGBT-focused shows, because these kids need you. @@MM_Talks13No worries, sweet friend. The timing of your response worked out for the better. i didn't want to say this right after watching the finale, because i thought it was a bit dramatic but i do actually think Agatha All Along is the best television i've ever watched. to be fair tho, i don't watch everything and i miss a lot of things that pop off and become really popular. Agatha All Along was such an amazing trip, like Wandavision, but WAY more spectacular [which makes sense, because this was Wanda's flamboyantly gay son's world lol!] an unexpected miracle, in terms of Marvel energy. i am both hyped and terrified for the final chapter of the Wanda TV trilogy, i can not lie. 😄 can you imagine being the third and final installment, having to follow Agatha All Along?! pressure! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@MM_Talks13 i'm almost certain a Wiccan spin off is not off the table but i am hoping for a Rio Vidal [Death] spin off. i want to see more from the witchy lovebirds! obsessed.
Thank you for sharing your journey of Agatha All Along with us! It was so much fun to watch and hear your theories and thoughts on this wonderful show. I look forward to seeing you react to Visionquest! It wil be interesting to see if your theories from this video come to light too! Although i have to say i do hope that I hope Maurice is wrong and Wiccan didn't kill the boy (who we know from the comics should be Tommy Shepherd) for Tommy to have a vessel because Wiccan in the comics has always been a superhero and we already have Wanda morally corrupt from her grief. I really don't wanna see her son (my favourite marvel character) follow suit in becoming a morally grey superhero/boarderline Villian too. The deaths that happened on the road I wouldn't personally blame him for as the road situation was very different from Wanda's forced sitcom town. I also agree I think Agatha knew who he was the moment the door opened and he came running downstairs. She actually says things I just took so casually throughout the show and now in context i can totally see them as quips towards Billy. In episode 4 when they're digging Sharon's grave Billy says "People can't be replaced!" and she smirks and says "Can't they?" i think because she knows Billy has replaced someone else since he's in a different body. I think like she said at the end he reminds her of Nicky and so there was a level of affection towards him but also i think she was worried what would happen to her if he died on the road, like maybe she wouldn't be able to get out without him. One thing that has been bothering me now though (and maybe you both have an answer) but if the road kicks you off once you've gotten what you wanted why was Alice not let out after her curse was lifted? She was there to be saved from the curse and so the minute the curse was lifted she should have teleported out like Jen & Billy did when they got what they wanted. Also thank you for speaking up about the hate and the ignorant comments on this show! It's so ridiculous that any amount of diversity is "too much" for some people. This show did a great job telling the story it was and the characters are all interesting regardless of sexual orientation, race or any of that. They're well-written and well acted characters and showed great representation at the same time. Anyway, great show, great reactions and look forward to seeing more of your videos!
We are actually going to do another review and answer questions with our theories so definitely look out for that. Maurice and I, have some different theories about everyone's question. So, we will share them with y'all and get your opinions. Thank you, again, for all of your support.
I agree with your take on the episode order. It felt like episode 9 was more of an epilogue and that was okay with me. I think what was missing was an end credit scene of Jen reclaiming her empire and ending her legal troubles. I posted this on another threat and someone said that the character is (spoiler) part of the MIdnight Sons team so we may be seeing her again soon. But even so, I think the show kind of just forgot her and that end credit scene could've helped bring it full-circle or at least end it better. From what I understand, Marvel didn't want an end-credit scene so the show creator didn't get the choice to do one, so it's not Jac's fault. I was so excited when this show was announced and I'm so glad it lived up to my expectations and threw the hater's objections out of the water. And we finally got Wiccan! Now we just need Hulkling and I can die happy.
There definitely should have been an end credit scene. We heard about Marvel not letting her (Jac) do one and we think it was a miss. We truly hope we get to see Jenn again. Thank you so much for supporting us and interacting! We appreciate you!
Jennifer Kale probably won't work in Vision Quest due to the story being more technology based. I'm still trying to figure out how Billy & Agatha would work there, but since Marvel is claiming Vision Quest is part of the WandaVision trilogy, we'll see if the creators of that show pick up on Agatha All Along threads. Jennifer Kale has connections to several supernatural characters in the comics. My guess is she could be in the rumored Midnight Sons film. Her comics character has history with that team. Most of those supernatural characters are male so I can see Marvel wanting to even the gender divide by including female characters already introduced in the MCU, which Jennifer can be one of them. Jennnifer also has a long history with Man-Thing, the monster which appeared in the Werewolf by Night special. Michael Giacchino, the director of that special has hinted there can be a sequel to Werewolf by Night, although it may come after the Multiverse Saga is over. But certainly, that project is another place Jennifer Kale can appear.
She's also the cousin of Johnny Blaze (Ghost rider) and the fact that Agatha put suc emphasis on her last name being Kale which reminds us that she's his cousin... we could get something with that as well. We are doing another review to answer some questions with our theories so we hope you join us
Thank you for catching that. We actually didn't forget that part. We spoke before thinking but don't think he killed the boy. We actually are going to go over it all, again, in another review that we're doing to answer some questions for everyone.
although we are never told any specifics as to how or why Agatha acquired the darkhold I would be curious to hear your thoughts and opinions on the matter. Do you think she acquired the book because it granted her greater power or because she hoped it would provide her a way to resurrect Nicky?
