Thanks for the tutorial, one basic question, drs balancing the vms and move the vms based on the available resource of esxi, as per example, if drs moves the 3 tier app to 3 different esxi user will face some delay in getting response for eg, so we will create affinity rule to overcome this issues and also it has some drawback, but if we use anti affinity rule again the drs will move those 3 servers to 3 different esxi, here again the user will face latency issues right? then what is use of it, and no difference between drs and anti affinity rule. please explain.

Thanks Babu for your question.....DRS will not understand the application or vm dependency.... Imagine I have 3 node cluster web application....DRS may vmotion all 3 web vms into same esxi host....imagine you got hardware issue on the esxi host where all 3 vms under load balancer are down ......your entire web application will be down in this case....so to avoid this situation , we can create anti affinity rules to place 3 vms of same application to place it in 3 diffrent esxi hosts....more ever , vms running on diffrent esxi host will not cause any latency untill the underlying network is stable.....
