Funny Story... I had a call yesterday from a scammer. They started their script and I was just playing along. They asked me my name and I said "I AM PEROGI". The person freaked and hung up immediately. Im not sure if these scammers target specific areas in the world, but I am in New Zealand, so I'm super impressed how powerful that sentence was to them.

And of course no matter how many times we told her not to give access to her computer with her dementia we were at a loss. They didn’t get any money. I use to hit the ignore button when my phone says potential spam. Now I answer and drag the conversation on as long as I can. I start laughing and make fun of them for the time they wasted on me. They go from professional, to calling me all sorts of names 😂 I love doing this now, and feel like I might save the next person. I've learned so much from you on how to drag it out with wrong answers, and acting confused. I drive for a living and have lots of time on my hands, so sometimes I'll call back over and over and just keep fu@ing with them. Love what you do, and thank you.

I like giving them random numbers when they ask for info, and assure them that they’re the ones messing up when it’s the wrong number of digits or the “credit card” number isn’t valid

Except that their law enforcement HAS recently raided at least one call center that he has exposed. He even posted a video showing police raiding the place.
He stated it in this video. "There is stuff being worked on". It's been extremely slow, but changes are being made. We will soon see a lot more action from their nation's law enforcement. Especially when the trade embargoes hit once those authorities finally take action.

Parogi, I’m a 46 year old disabled father of 3. I get scam calls daily. Thank you for putting an end to these call centers. Every time I hear a Indian accent I just hang up now. Thank you for your time. Over the weeks just hanging up they call less and less it used to be six to seven calls a day now is about 2 a month. Keep being an amazing person.

I worked at Geek Squad for a year. The amount of people who are hit by this, the amount of clueless grandparents, is staggering. My mother and father even got e-mailed these attempts before. Keep up the great work, looking forward to part 2!

I’m Thai and there’s lot of scammers now in Thailand. My family also got scammed. So I really appreciate what you do and that makes me feel a lot better. One day, I think there will be a social engineering class in educational system if scammers continue growing and developing themselves. I hope all the bad things happen to them.

but these people are not prosecuted and why they do it. Just like here in the US. We arrest people but never send them to jail. How come NO US President has got India to work with the US so when we know where they are, the US can send in (already have stationed in India) agents who can then raid/arrest and ship them back to the US immediately for prosecution. The police and politicians are probably so corrupt they allow this because they get their kickback too. So as much he is trying, in the long run this does really nothing to stop the scammers.

@@Monkey_11 Depending on the phone, it’s mostly because of stock. Apple sucks at sending parts to the stores and they’ll usually take from us too when they’re running low on parts. Then if it’s a Samsung phone you have to go to a specific store and it’s usually the same. Trust me it sucks having to deny people, but repairs and replacements can be done, it’s just the availability of parts that stops us

@@Monkey_11 We have to follow strict guidelines from Apple. If there is any liquid damage or too many of the screen is actually damaged/chucks missing, Apple forces us to order a replacement phone instead. Its an Apple policy. Samsung is less strict on that.

I’m a Geek Squad Agent full time and I wish I could do this 😂 I get at minimum 20 clients a week who have been scammed or close to being scammed. I’m the one who removes the remote software and makes sure everything is clean, but man how I wanna fight back before it gets to that point

@@geoshark12 I know this. But there are international agencies that cross borders who should be doing something. If it was a government that was being defrauded or the tax man, they would spring into action very quickly. I bet the scammers dont pay income tax on these earnings and they could be classed as immoral earnings as well, so that is breaking the law too. Al Capone, a gangster in the US in the 1930s, committed all sorts of terrible crimes, but the govt couldnt get him on those. So they jailed him for tax evasion. Maybe we ought to look at this crime in a different way and find another way of shutting them down and imprisoning the people who do this.

I work at a restaurant that has online delivery through door dash, uber etc and out of the blue one day we get a call saying they are from Door dash and they notice there is something wrong with our tablet and they just need some information and they can send us a new one. They had asked if they can have the email associated with the account and they can process. I got a little suspicious because I knew if it really was door dash they would have that information already and they would ask us to verify with giving us the last few letters of the emai and verify the name of the restaurant. I told them door dash would never call us we would have to call them and please stop calling us we know it's a scam. We haven't heard from them in a while but the other day they called four times. I reported it to door dash and they said they will investigate the problem..

Pierogi you're awesome man I've never taken a thing from anyone and I don't believe in anybody should ever do that but these guys are just taking it to the extreme and I am so glad there is somebody out there who is going to stick up for the average person who doesn't know any better thank you sir...
Yeah, I work doing grocery delivery through an App (I work as a contractor/freelance). And there are delivery drivers who download bots onto their phone to steal all of the high paying orders. I'm not sure if it is illegal, but I would never do it! And I am surprised that I will hear people suggest that I use a bot too. I try not to get outright angry at them for suggesting that, but I still tell them that I don't see that as the right thing to do. Plus, it isn't allowed, and they could get deactivated if caught. I see it as stealing; when one person gets paid $80 (or more) to complete an order, and the rest have to do a greater amount of work just to get $20 after completing an order. There are people who do it 12 hours a day, so that they can feed their families. It disappoints me to know that so many of them think that it's acceptable.
Please keep doing what your doing and teach them all a lesson. Your a hero and i wish the government would hire you and support this kind of work. This why i wish i was knowledgeable in hacking and coding to help fight against them as well

The tools are out there. If you have the social engineering and wherewithal to do it. Talk with law enforcement. Learn a language. An get to work. Pierogi can't be the only one.

My grandfather almost got scamed by the same scam you're going after. He was on the phone when he picked me up from home, and ot sounded just like your typical call senter from videos like yours. I told him it sounded like a scam and he didn't believe me. Like an hour later the bank caught some suspicious movement of money and thankfully the transaction never went through. I'm thankful of your videos, spreading awareness of how scams work and how they get you

My advice is to educate the elderly before they even receive the first call.
That way when they do get a scam call they won't even engage.
This helps, but unfortunately, they still sometimes fall for it. My own mother had been warned by us time and time again, but still one time gave up way too much information over one of these scam calls. She later panicked and called me realising what she'd done. It was a while back, but I think we were able to put a hold on her card while we tried to work out what was going on, then cancelled that card and ordered her a new one.
