The 2025 BMW M5 Touring features a sophisticated plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with an integrated electric motor. This setup delivers a total system output of 717 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. 
Combustion Engine:
• Power: 577 hp between 5,600 and 6,500 rpm
• Torque: 553 lb-ft from 1,800 to 5,400 rpm
• Redline: 7,200 rpm
Electric Motor:
• Power: 194 hp
• Torque: 207 lb-ft
• Integration: Placed between the V8 engine and the 8-speed M Steptronic transmission
The electric motor is powered by a 14.8 kWh battery, enabling short-distance electric-only driving and contributing to overall performance. 
This hybrid configuration allows the M5 Touring to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in approximately 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 189 mph. 
The M5 Touring also features BMW’s M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, ensuring optimal power distribution and traction across all four wheels.
