Love these high level videos! Id be interested to hear a breakdown at the end of the key plays/thought process you made. Might have to do a bit of editing to cut down on the length since these are usually +45 minutes long
I purposely took this “bad setup” to see how I can position myself for more favorable trades and less blocks. Worked pretty well! Not advised to play this way in ranked but you can experiment in higher level voice chat games.
I think you needed to rush red more on that turn when they talked over your trade. You probably could have gave red 5 sheep for him to give 2 ore. Then you'd be one 11 away from a city.
Black at the end was being annoying. Just do the one for one to prolong the game. Makes no sense when people refuse to trade when that results in the game ending smh.
I was wondering the same. I assume it's because red would take the 642 leaving either 8912 or 5312 open for expansions. But it must've been something else because aren't the 6 brick and 3:1 port better than the 2nd wheat or all that sheep without even a 3:1 to offload? On the other hand, the 642 would leave him vulnerable to the 6 not showing up or being blocked
I was hoping someone would ask. This was played pre-USA Nationals and I wanted to experiment with trying to take challenging, trade heavy setups! This allows me to trade more but also not get as many robs or blocks. In most cases I would take 642 most likely and work that angle. Here’s a little video I did discussing my prep leading up to nationals and playing these “off the radar” trade heavy setups. ruclips.net/video/4MYRVJgKpPI/видео.html
One day drew will defeat his greatest enemy... the moving board.
Still a better love story than Twilight
But today is not that day.
inducing that self plough was amazing! Winning roll! Amazing table talk!

I edited the video since it was originally 55 minutes long. We do our bestto
Nice game! I’ve seen falcao in lots of RUclips videos over the last year and I really like his demeanor and how he reasons with people.
Falcao is an online catan legend! Glad you enjoyed his style.
You’re such an incredible player at trading, in game strategy, and table talk that you were almost able to overcome bad placements here

@@dandydrew Ah okay, that makes more sense knowing you did it on purpose to challenge yourself.
Id hate to be Dandy's significant other. The absolute king of manipulation.
😂 For the record, we are playing a board game and I hope most people have enough self-awareness to separate that from personal relationships.
Me trying to sleep: 4895
Karisma is a fun player glad we got to watch him!
Couldn’t 4th go 4-10-11 to the right and 6-4-2 going up? All 5 resources and great expansions with the 4-9 for double ore?
Exactly what I was thinking
@@sakshamsinghal1171it would have given Danny 8/9/10 and have high production. And reds sheep port. I think he did that to balance out the game
Pretty amazed that the same table talking that works for ranked games works with top world players. Masterpiece of framing!

Never skip a dandy drew video
Getting second with the worst setup is impressive. Nice trades.

What was the idea of the second placement?

I would strongly prefer the 642 there, now he has to play ows with horrible ore and only one meaningful expansion

@@dandydrew that makes sense, I was wondering if I'm going crazy or what did I miss
the title says it all #notclickbait
In discord games you seem more likely to pop a lot at the start instead of holding for a city
I think because he needs vp's in this position to have a chance of winning
Sui. Just in time for break.
Gl hf!
What a weird set up
Pretty sure wise is not a top player XD the rest are
