i live central London all me life 52 now . no 1 calls it Elizabeth tower its simply called big ben a name for the complete building not just the bell that does resemble a grand, grandfather clock
Whether people like it or not, England is a Christian country and the Church (of England) is the national religion. Its bishops sit in the House of Lords and the King is the head of the Church. This might explain a little why battles etc are celebrated in Anglican churches.
Late to the party but love that it's evident you'd done your research before you arrived. Glad you enjoyed your time!
Thank you so much! Can't wait to hopefully return one day
Wonderful video ❤ I'm soo impressed 😮
You seem very knowledgeable about London for someone on their first trip there. Especially when you were pointing out landmarks from the sky!
Thank you! It was such a bucket list city and I did my research!
So glad you too the time for St Dunstan in the East.
My sister found the spot online and I'm really happy she did - such a hidden treasure!
Glade you enjoyed London my man.
Thank you! Can't wait to go back!
I love London
I have subscribed to this channel. I just want to see the videos when you and your sister go out to a British Pub for a night out.
Haha! I'll now have to return to England and make that happen - that's hilarious
You don't swing your camera around enough
The tower is The Elizabeth tower. Big Ben is the bell. We call the tower Big Ben. Glad you are having a good time. Come back soon😊😊😊
Thanks for the info! I'd love to!

If you are going to see one musical then it should be The Phantom of the Opera.
We chose My Fair Lady since we thought it fit the "London" vibe due to its setting haha
St Paul's Cathedral.
You should check out East London, it's got some lovely places
Yes! I spent a lot of my next couple days in East London, like visiting Tower of London, Brick Lane, etc. Wish I saw more though!
@@shanelavner4080 I'm taking about further out in East London like Stratford where the Olympics was held
Ah yes, unfortunately I didn't get out quite that far
Southwark is pronounced Sutherk, and it is Westminster not Westminister
Good to know! Yeah I'm not sure why I kept mispronouncing Westminster lol - I think because there's so many Westminister's in the States
Feel free to pronounce it as you want.. I brought my American mate a bottle of Worcestershire sauce. It was fun 😂glad you like my country
I’ve yet to hear an American say Westminster without adding an extra i.
Actually, the Middle English form was ministre, followed by minister and then, the relatively modern (circa 1590) minster came into use.
You need to stop waving your camera around to get better shots.
Agreed. I'd like to think I've improved in subsequent videos!
Southwark is pronounced SUV-UCK... don't ask me why 😁
Haha English is a fickle language
Well, I would say "Suthuk) - definitely a "th" sound there. Maybe a "v" sound for cockneys.

Interesting, thanks for the explanation! Certainly a bit foreign from an American POV
Sutherk Bridge not South WArk.
YOU are the TOURIST!
If he didn’t say ‘like’ so often, the video could be half the length.
But then I'd only get half the watch hours! (just kidding)
No need to be rude.
