Angela, if I owned that quilt I would keep it out on that bed all the time so that I could enjoy it. It can be put away if you have a guest who will be using the bed and brought out again when they leave. I have one that I had made for my mother many years ago and I used to have it put away too until one day I decided to fold it and put it across the foot/bottom of the guest room bed where I get to see it all the time. ❤. It’s good for the soul to enjoy these things during our lifetime.
Interesting. The quilt pattern is “ GRANDMA’s FLOWER GARDEN “ the outer path rings around the inter flower rings. To keep it safe you need to purchase ACID FREE PAPER TO WRAP IT IN. IT SHOULDNT BE FOLDED THE SAME WAY ALL THE TIME TO KEEP PERMEANT FOLD LINES. ITS A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF HAND WORK 🤩🤩🤩💖💖 Mimi from Texas sent me 💖
Beautiful quilt! Love the dress and shoes! My daughter, hubby and my one granddaughter & 2 granddogs live in an 1897 house with lots of antiques. You have a nice house and a beautiful snowy view! Thank you for a great tour! 😊
i found a quilt in that pattern made with a mishmash of floursacking fabric scraps in the Goodwill Bins a few years ago, wadded up and in need of a good washing. so i got it along with another quilt-wadded up baby quilt but a childs quilt from an early Dumbo pattern-in the same bin. it also needed a good washing. both needed slight repairs but for the age not sun faded or fragile so i would date them to the 130s or 40s. prices were a $1.59 per pound. i love them.
There used to be quilt shows for generational quilts ❤. Grandmother's flower garden is the name of the pattern on your hexagon quilt. There should be a batting in between the two layers you have a top batting and bottom to a quilt its called a quilt sandwich. ❤😅 . Your funny "do you care ". Lol
That is absolutely spectacular! It’s in such great condition. I think it’s a summer quilt and that’s why there’s no batting. I have one made in the early 1900’s but it’s falling apart. But I still use it occasionally.
That looks like an English paper piecing Hexi quilt. The fabric Hexagons had paper Hexagons under each piece to give them support as they were hand-sewn together afterwards the paper pieces are removed. The paper Hexagons can be reused. I have a neighbor who makes this type of quilt.
You've not had your channel for only a couple months. Don't worry about numbers just keep doing what youre doing. There's many different things you can do other than TEMU. You're a seamstress. Have a beginners sewing class. I have a sewing machine, lots of thread and fabric but thats all I know. I'm sure many would love to learn to sew. The rug you made out of sheets. . Thats another thing you can show us how to make one. If you have recipes that is your Moms or Grandma's share them and explain as you're showing us how to make them. There is so much you can do to increase your volume of viewers and these are just some that I and others would enjoy. I hope this is of some help.🌹 Oh my gosh you have more patience than I. When my grandchildren were younger they made a mess, they cleaned it up.
Grandmothers flower garden is the name of the quilt and they used the unworn parts of worn out clothing. The batting was usually wool. Pattern is older than the 30s unless it’s 1830
I love the hot tub/greenhouse room! Canna lilies grow crazy good here in california! My grandma used to split hers once a year and give them away because they got so out of control. You're a really good artist! I love the mural!😍 You have a beautiful home and view😍
That quilt is beautiful. I’m in the process of making that pattern. Grandmothers flower garden. EPP (English paper piecing) it is a lot of work. I’ve been making my hexies for about 7 years. I may never finish! But I make all kinds of quilts so I work on it when I’m watching tv because it’s hand sewn I love your home

Omg I live in the San Joaquin Valley! Its pretty big but I'd be interested to know about that museum. I love antiques and used to collect stuff. I really loved seeing the dress and those shoes are beautiful a pretty fancy really and my mom has lots of tin type photographs, not sure she has that glass type thought that's really interesting.😍
That quilt is beautiful My aunt made me one of those and I can't remember what the name of the shape .😊 I did a video today and gave you a shout out I'm trying to send you some of my subscribers You're doing such a good job. Diane from Mimi's life

It’s a big house to keep up and clean. I am so blessed by my husband. I had nothing but 6 kids when I married him. He is so talented and I get to enjoy his creations
You're doing good...I think you're funny and I like your approach...give it a little time. If you know any of the other resellers maybe see if they'll give you a shut out...word of mouth is the best Love what I've see of your home and LOVE that dress in your guest room!! I had something the same in my guest room dedicated to my mom and grandparents and had to take them down because it freaked my sister and brother out. Sry for such a long post...lol
Greetings! Mimi (Dianne)suggest we give your videos a look. 😊 I enjoyed this video. Your sewing examples and antiques were very interesting as was the tour! Curious- Is your home contemporary on the exterior?
Love the dress, shoes and picture. I've collected textiles, etc. And have quite a collection of period images from the 1860's. (They called them"images"not photos like we do now.) Some people never had an image taken in their lifetime. They were expensive. Financially out of reach for many. That may be the only one taken of that lovely couple. Your picture is from the 1850's. The picture and case are in great shape.. it's good you keep it closed and wrapped in tissue as the light will eventually turn the image black....😊 Thanks for sharing.. You have a lovely home.❤
also remember if they no your place and if you have expensive things your putting it out to some kooks l watch. Do you make bread pudding my grandma use to make it for me she raised me my mom gave me away and she found me a few days later. your home is beautiful. l love your videos lm working on saving for a computer to do my videos. thank you hugs
I don’t have anything expensive. We aren’t that kind of people who spend tons on stuff. We shop at cheap places. We have cameras all over inside and out. My husband is a Wyoming hunter. So we are protected. Our town is small and all our neighborhoods are friends. We watch out for each other. We are blessed
@@materialmom-hz3wj yes l no but the crazy people that watch channel don’t know that. l love you your funny your stories wow! lol you such a great lady.

I just love it. I can so too, but I don’t think I could so something like that. And again, please don’t put out your address or anything personal. Just stay safe we don’t know who’s out there.❤
2 things in this video I want you to be careful with #1 you had a phone number on a sign on the AC unit people can look things up that way and #2 you had WiFi info in the guest room please be careful I don’t trust anybody there are wackos everywhere ❤

I am going to take notice of that grammar.
