I think you will end up wanting a mudroom area over a folding area. Generally end up folding in the bedroom or on the couch myself.
TRUE!
Mud room and fold down wall table for folding clothes across from garage door - you’re so crafty you could paint art on the bottom of table when not in use, pretty decor and functional table - Love the tiles ❤
I’m pretty sure all your efforts will be well compensated because that wall will look just fantastic; beautiful.
I’m suggesting you do a mud room, because you are going to need it living in a cold weather state.
Wishing you the best from Puerto Rico 🏖 🌸
Hmmm. Favorite food is anything you make me. 🤪❤️ THE THUMBNAIL ALONE IS SO WILD! It’s looking fantastic! I LOVEEEE watching the tiles being placed! Very satisfying to this squirrel brain!
SLAYYY! THANKS BABY!
Make it both mud room and a table you can fold in a cabinet because there’s plenty of inspiration and table designs which perfectly folded in the room
I love it! I found a free standing tub with cast iron scroll work base that originally sold for $2800 & got it at Habitat for $900. We were building our new home, every penny saved helped!
Do both! Maybe some sort of folding situation above the washer dryer? And then you can have the mudroom storage on the other side? Maybe that wouldnt be great if the washer and dryer is too tall to reach over well?
definitely a folding area! it’s so nice to be able to just pull your laundry out of the dryer and get it all folded right away. either way whatever you do with the space will be awesome!
Vote for mud room here! Definitely more use than folding table in my life experience
I vote mud room because of the lake. It would be a good place to take muddy boots off clean the dogs up or strip down if necessary. Even more so if kids are in your future. ❤ looks amazing!
Mud room for sure. Your laundry room is looking fantastic, can't wait to see the finished transformation.
Mud room. That wall is beautiful ❤
I think a table/counter for folding clothes with storage underneath would look awesome.
I vote for mudroom area!! ❤❤❤
Super cute ! I love the tile. Great job, Lexi 👏
THANK YOU!!
Honestly I think you’re going to be able to figure out how to get both things in mud area with folding table that can close against the wall…. Loving 🥰 the process
I think a mudroom that includes a wall mounted fold down table would be ideal. Or since that door is awkward hang a barn door from the hall. That gives you two walls. You can do a mudroom by garage wall and the wall by the door could have a folding table with rolling hampers underneath!!
A mudroom would be ideal! Since you come in through th garage it makes sense.
Thanks for restore tips. I have planned to check there in my search. You just gave valuable info.
Lexi, looking at your “shorts”. When you rehung the door from the laundry/garage it was put on backwards. It previously was hung to swing out into the garage. You have it so it swings into the laundry room. That makes a huge difference regarding the space in the laundry room. If you put it back the way it won’t be as big a problem. I know you said you were going to replace the door eventually anyway. I would suggest a metal door when you do. Swing the door out from the laundry room and problem solved.
I would do a folding area. That way it keeps the clothes from "wandering" around the house in varying stages of folding.
For me, a folding area with laundry basket storage would be more practical. I think I would use that way more than a mud room area. But you could always go with a combination of the two if you could make it work
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
I tend to pull the laundry out onto the top of the dryer & fold my clothes & put them on top of the washer. A mudroom area and/or a dry goods pantry is a great idea.(unless you plan on a pantry/small appliance area in the kitchen when you do that makeover}. Looking great so far!
Love the tile!!!😊🎉❤
My favorite food is pasta of any kind! 😂❤
HELL YEAH!!!
Is there a special reason you’re tiling behind the washer and dryer space? Tile is very pretty!
Looks tideous but well worth it in the end. Awesome job. My favorite food is Chick Fil A.
THANK YOU! YES DUSTIN AND I HAVE BEEN KIND OF LIVING FOR JUST A CHEESE BISCUT AND HASHBROWNS FROM THERE HAHA
Probably a mudroom in the end. Because it will be more value if you move and other people will, like that from the garage
Lexi, I’m surprised you chose that wall as your accent wall, since the washer and dryer will be there to block it! I don’t think I’ve seen full view of the other walls, but I’m sure you had your reasons! It’s looking great!
I would actually do a mud room!
I THINK I MIGHT!!
I just found you. Girllll I'm gonna need an update on the outside of the house!! My heart broke seeing y'all having to fix it all! I've watched all but 3 videos so maybe you did an update but dang I hope it worked out!
In the “closet area” I would do like a folding station/laundry basket with overhead hangers for delicates to dry
And then right under the window before the door a bench with show storage underneath
AHH I WISH THERE WAS ROOM UNDER THE WINDOW BUT BECAUSE OF THE DOOR THERES NOT :(
Folding area, for sure.
Mud room area for coats, purse, shoes, etc. I fold on the couch or bed.
Any Pasta is my favorite
YES KIERSTEN SUCH A GOOD CHOICE!
Looking great! I love watching you transform your spaces! I have a crazy weird laundry room with the only window at the front of the house and it also is the giant pantry. I’m stumped on how to change it. If I could add a mud room, I would in a heartbeat bc my kids(and hubby) leave a pile of shoes & coats at the front door. 😂
Fave food is sushi all day, everyday! 🍣🍱🤤
Do a mud room. You can always fold clothes on the bed but not the other way around.
❤❤❤
Mudroom especially for winter accessories and dog things i always end up folding laundry in front my tv in my bedroom
Banana pancakes!
I DON'T THINK IVE HAD A BANANA PANCAKE I NOW NEED TO TRY IT!
❤❤❤❤
My favorite food type is Mexican food my favorite dish is Flautas. So yummy. 😊 love you guys!
YESS LOVE MEXICAN, GIVE ME ALL THE QUESO!
PS I’m still waiting for my nanny Rick the brick 🧱 ❤😂
I vote for a mud room
I think a mud room would be a better option
Lexi, did you use any additional adhesive on the back of the tile itself before placing on the tacky adhesive? P.S. love all your videos ❤
The way you didn’t finish the drywall makes my OCD brain a little crazy lol
Why not both? Make it a mudroom, but add a fold down table attached to the wall that you can store away when not folding
