    It’s so interesting to see such a giant corporation (Massey Ferguson) outsource their manufacturing/machining to somewhere like this. You’d expect it to be some large industrial factory with automatic CNC machines but this is old school hand machining at its finest! It also goes to show you that you don’t necessarily need the newest latest version machinery to do good work, you need SKILL. These guys know what they’re doing and they do a fine job at it. My hats off to them. I love these old machines, I have a 1926 South Bend lathe.

      I disagree, Corp always outsource because their labor is cheap. Our plant shutdown in USA because it's cheaper to pay Mexicans or even these guys. Our products were higher quality but Corp only care about themselves

      I don't think these are made by Massey Ferguson. I expect that they are domestic after market parts.

      Cheap replacements. They're not bad by any means, but they're also not a technically complicated part. Kind of like a replacement door. It had to work.

      Awww, come on....didn't you know that FORD when they were making V8 blocks (in the 70's) after the pour the covered the blocks with sand for seasoning? They turned green, hence the words of having green blocks. They just copied that by throwing them on the ground (i think it's clay). I'm impressed....LOL

    Floor dirt adds to the composition strength, why are some workers wearing protective gear? Im glad they use digital calipers and a scale to match. I want this installed in my tractor so i can replace it next week and continue to provide work for these souls.. I cannot stress the floor dirt adds to the durability of this fine craftsmanship.

    • @lwilton
      @lwilton 2 года назад +1

      @@coupebuilder Realistically, they are using high-tensile steel. Either anchor chain links or bits of drive shaft, both of which should be just fine for this application. Floor dirt or roof dirt or dirt in the air blowing by has absolutely no effect on a part like this, as long as you don't let it rust in a swamp for five years. These parts are still shiny when they are done, so we can be pretty sure there was no swamp stay involved in the making process.
      I generally shake my head at a lot of these videos, but I have to say that in this case they seem to have done everything right, and the part should work just fine.
