Do you have a video going over the disassembly and cleaning of the Ruger? I heard some guys said, even when new, the riffle should be thoroughly inspected.
Was this a 177 or 22 model. And what do you think the biggest game you could take ethically with the 177 version? Can the 177 version take say 16 plus grain pellet or would effect the performance of the rifle at that weight?
Good review you cannot buy the Umarex Octane no more just the Elite so IAM hanging on to my 2017 Umarex Octane.22 it has about the same power as the Ruger Magnum .22
Kenny bought 2, a .177 and a .22 and both were bad out of the box. Breach seals sitting below the surface of the breach, scope bad out the box, both had bad piston seals, are they going to step up the quality control?
Wish something like this was available when i was kid. A very affordable option. In the 90s we had to mail order rws air riffles available through Cabelas way too pricey.
Don't recall, but you can expect to shoot a break barrel like this at 35 yards well, out to 50 with some practice. Beyond that a high quality airgun rated scope and a pellet it likes will be key.
Hello i know i'm a little bit late , but i just bought Air Scout Magnum , and i just can't set the iron(open) sight height correctly , even when i max it out on top it still hits low even at very close range like 4 meters it hits too low. Do you have any advice what it could be ? or how could i fix it ?
dude, how r u? and did u find a solution for the problem? i also wanna buy a ruger air mag too - would u suggest it? (bc its half the price of the gamo and has close quite the same power. its my entry-weapon for fun)
@@muddisbestajunge270 i had no time to go back to shop to ask about it yet but i will have to , i would suggest some test before you buy it , it is quite heavy to reload but otherwise if you find it aiming good during some test shooting i had no other problem with it
Good rule of thumb for .22 springers is 45-50 yards, until you've become skilled with a particular rifle, then you could shoot it as far as your skill / pellet choice will perform. 50 yards is quite common for skilled break barrel shooters.
Not knowing how often you're getting a flyer or the pellets used just can recommend that you Lock it down as best you can. Otherwise call our gun techs: 479-646-4210 ext.7.
I had same problem the scope is cheap but it works that's not the problem. The problem is using light and/or cheap pellets. I bought h&n barracuda they are pretty accurate at 30 yards German made pellets. Also got bug buster scope 4x12x32 pretty good you don't need anything larger it's just a pellet gun after all.
Please don't call it a. RUGER,. IT IS NOT A RUGER,. IT IS THE CHINESE COPY OF THE. DEUTSCHLAND RWS DIANA 350 MAGNUM. SO PLEASE DONT LIE , IT IS NOT A RUGER MADE AIR RIFLE
Good review with use of chronograph. Thumb up.
Thanks.

Wish you would have confirmed that 1200 fps spec...
.177 with light alloy pellet will do it. You'll want to shoot a heavier pellet though, for better accuracy and energy delivery on impact.
No couple extra turns on scopes, or scope mounts!!!!
Blue locktight, or red for a prema mount!!!
Thanks for the feedback.

What is the size of the piston seal of this gun?
I just bought one and i cant cock it and i dont want to put too much force, am i doing it wrong or is it just hard when new?
When new, give it a good "tap" with the palm of your hand just behind the muzzle break. They are a bit stiff the first few times.
Umarex Airguns yea i figured it would be hard, i had to use my knee for the first time!!😂😂
Love it.
Thanks much

We still sell RWS. Still cost a little more than the rest. German made.
Great gun
What pellet are you using to get that Accuracy.
When you were shooting in this video how far that target was it seems preety accurate

Hey Edyin, like is asked below,...what distance can be expected as an accurate range for this one?

Hi. I want to buy the ruger air scout. Can you recomment the ruger air riffles? I just want to shoot at home ca. 8m.
We don't sell the Ruger Air Scout in the U.S. To reach 32 joule consider the Ruger AirMagnum.
I cannot get the supplied scope to hold zero, I'll be getting a fist sized group at 30yds and the poi will randomly shift 8 inches, any suggestions?

What's the best air gun made?
There are a lot of good options. Really depends on your intended use. Not easy to answer.
Weight and length?
48.5 inches and about 9 lbs.
Umarex would have much better customer service if Umarex sold spare parts for the airguns Umarex sells.
Where are these made?
Germany as i know
China 🇨🇳
It's a Chinese gun with the Ruger name, it's not a Ruger.
Keen eye.

Made in China?
Origin on that model is.
Where is it made .. I don’t buy Chinese
Where do you shop? 80% of everything in the US is either made in china or has parts made in china
What you want is a air rifle that's made in Germany.
WHERE'S your I phone made?
This gun is trash
Thanks for watching.
Get h&n ammo or German made ammo that's heavy.
