Starting at the Thapae Gate at one end the Sunday Market, this street extends roughly 1 km. down the full length of Ratchadamnoen Road. Best known for its showcase of northern craftsmanship products, Thapae Walking Street is a must during your visit.
Opening: Every Sunday from 4 p.m. until Midnight.

We stay at a small hotel just across from the gate next to the McDonalds called East Gate Hotel. Get a front facing room and you can sit on your balcony and watch the large plaza activities in front of the gate. I hope they survived Covid, the owner was very nice. Our return trip is counting down, can't wait.

เชียงใหม่เป็นเมืองที่สวยงามจริงๆ แต่สายสื่อสารที่รกรุงรัง กับทิ้งขยะไม่เป็นที่ในบางจุด ทำให้ความสวยงามลดลง
ส่ยสื่อสารน่าจะกำลังทยอยเอาลงครับ แต่เรื่องขยะนี่ทำได้เลย แต่มันเป็นเรื่องจิตสำนึก

ทำไมเชียงใหม่ไม่เอาสายไฟลงดิน ปรับปรุงทางเท้า สภาพดูเหมือนจังหวัดอื่นๆ รกรุงรังไร้ระเบียบไม่สมเป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวทางวัฒนธรรมเลย
@Joeiei Kaka อะไรก็คิดถึงแต่รัฐบาลนะคุณ มิน่าเขียงไหม่จริงได้แค่นี้ เทศบาล อบจ. ต้องทำงาน บ้านตัวเอง ไม่ต้องรอนายกหรือรัฐมนตรีจากอีสานคุณ และที่สำคัญ เชียงไหม่ โคราช ภูเก็ต พัทยา ได้รับงบจากรัฐบาลจังหวัดละ 2,000 กว่าล้าน ที่อื่นเค้าทำกันโครมๆ แล้วเชียงใหม่???? ดูหาดไหญ่เศรษฐกิจเล็กกว่าเชียงใหม่เค้า เทศบาลเค้าก็ทำเองไม่รอรัฐบาล จนนักท่องเที่ยวล้นเมือง

@Joeiei Kaka แล้วที่กรุงเทพเอาลงไปหลายจุดแล้ว กับต่างจังหวัดหลายๆที่เอาลงแล้วเอาเงินมาจากไหนครับ มอเตอร์เวย์สายต่างๆ รถไฟฟ้าตั้งหลายสายอีกล่ะ
กฟภ. และเทศบาลนครเชียงใหม่ เริ่มทยอยเอาสายไฟ/สื่อสาร ลงดิน ที่เสร็จแล้วก็มี เช่น ถ.ช้างคลาน, ท่าแพ, พระปกเกล้า และกำลังทำทั่วจุดสำคัญทั้งเมือง ทำคู่กันกับจัดระเบียบ (ลงดินใช้งบ/เวลาเยอะ) ที่ทำไม่ไวทันทีก็บางที่เป็นแหล่งชุมชน กระทบการดำเนินชีวิตประชาชน ทั้งนี้ท่านสามารถสืบค้นข้อมูลได้เองครับ
**ปล. โดยทั่วไป กฟภ.มีโครงการเอาสายไฟลงดินมีทุกจังหวัด เริ่มตามงบฯ เป็นระยะๆ ไปครับ

เชียงใหม่เป็นเมืองวัฒนธรรมโดดเด่นแต่สภาพบ้านเมืองไม่ต่างจากจังหวัดอื่นแถมบางจุดยังดูซอมซ่อแย่กว่าที่อื่นด้วย สภาพบ้านเมืองความเป็นระเบียบขยะไม่สมกับสิ่งที่นักท่องเที่ยวคาดหวัง วัฒนธรรมดีบ้านเมืองควรจะมีสภาพดีด้วย
