    Looking good so far. I had error code E03. Heater is new but I was primering it a lot at the beginning and must of flooded it. Now after your tips I stripped it down there was a lot of clean diesel inside everywhere so dried it all out, powered up the glow plug that worked great, put back together and now fired up. A lot of smoke for a long time and a chip fat bubbling from the exhaust. Now clear as a bell. So just hoping when I start it up again from cold it will be good. So far happy warm days😀

    2 years now my heater has been used in the van , no strip downs , no break downs etc , only difference I have exclusively run mine on paraffin , people say it wears out the pump , but 2 years and still as good as the day installed says otherwise , China pumps are cheap to replace anyways .

    • @fibranijevidra

    Great tips. Maybe you can help me. I have two lcd screens. One is for back up. One works fine when plugged in the other one I have has error code E01. Something to do with voltage ? How can this be if the other one works ? Is it faulty ? Thank you.

    I have a E 01 code after the first time running the heater and it’s on 12 volts and has 14 volts to heater . The heater has only ran once it’s new could anyone help .

    • @peterclancy3653
      @peterclancy3653 3 года назад +1

      Try checking the voltage at the heater during the start sequence. If your wiring has any great length or a poor connection you could be getting a voltage drop with the glow plug and the fan going. Learnt by experience.

    Hi I fired it up again when it cooled down the fan ran slow for 10 seconds without the pump working then clicked & stopped error eo3. tried a few more times still no good. But I have noticed a regular amount of small bubbles coming out from the pump to the heater distance 18” but no bubbles to the pump all clips good so tomorrow I will take pump & relevant pipes out & re cut & join. Will let you know. Thanks for the interest.

    To avoid carbon buildup, run it on full power for about 5-10 minutes. That will blast out the residue that built up during using it on lower settings.

    Hi john I am still having an issue with my new heater. The first problem was error code eo3 solved it by fitting an eberspacher glow plug but now constantly smoking. But I have noticed constant air bubbles coming out from the pump to the heater but no bubbles to the pump, it is at 45% I have tightened the jubilee clips as tight as poss no difference. I have stripped down heater so many times now full of carbon. Atomiser cleaned put in correct with tool. I am going bald.

      Hobbies & Gadgets hi the heater is under the van the exhaust pipe comes down then a bend slightly down from horizontal to the outer edge of the sill so can drain out if needed I’ve checked totally clear.

      Thanks John, funny you mentioned that, I did the same, unplugged the plug, then pushed it back in again while battery was still connected. Will disconnect the battery and try again and see what happens.
      There is also a little button type thing, thought it may be a reset, it’s on the bottom of the display, any idea what that is, mine is very loose, seems to be doing nothing.

      John Mc ginley things have gone from bad to worse. Firstly the screen wouldn’t light up, could see the screen information if I held it at an angle. Error code 07 was shown. Disconnected all the plugs and re connected them again, still nothing. Checked battery, pulling 12 volts which was what the display was showing. Thought there maybe an open sensor or something like that so I disconnected all plugs from the motherboard, all seemed correct ( compared them with another heater that works fine ) still nothing.....ended up re ordering another screen and motherboard, waiting for them to turn up and will try again. Would have liked to changeover the main motor unit but didn’t as the working one was difficult to get out.....time for a drink 🙁

    • @blauwzakjecrack

      the heating plug needs cooling of the fan, if the fan does not get sufficient "juice" it wont cool, and thus the heater coil will burn up on itself . That is why the machine is actively cooling down itself after turning it off. Nothing to do about this really except using a proper battery and proper wiring away from hot parts.
