Dude you could see how the fireman were so excited to see something so different. That was probably the funniest and weirdest ive seen law enforcement act.
Beats an automatic alarm call.
Yeah everyone was excited. Cmon boys some kid found a live grenade let's go check this shit out!🤣
Whats the time?
Bro the FD and PD some where like kids when they got McDonalds
DeSoto hubcap..the last DeSoto made was November 18, 1960. That is ancient for a hubcap. The hand grenade is cool too. Glad you're safe. Great finds great fun!
That’s crazy
@@danidip Totally. Hope you find more parts.
You all are honestly helping the enviroment and making it better. Keep up the good work.
The hubcap you found is for a 1940s Chrysler De Soto. Looks like possibly 1949 but it was hard to tell with all the sludge on it.. lol Maybe clean it up and check it out because some of those vintage hubcaps are rare & worth money. Things like that makes me wonder did it pop off riding down a bumpy gravel road or was it from a wreck? It’s makes my mind go 90 mph thinking of all the different scenarios..
Noice
I was yelling at the screen that it was a De Soto and worth something lol. Glad someone else recognized it too
@@DrRainbowBecca lol same
@@DrRainbowBecca haha same here!!!
Ok alot people usually do this thing where they put Nazi Germany in America um so yeah I'm actually half German native American live KY family lives Hamburg Germany an ja Das ist nicht Deutschland
Seems odd to find so much military ordinance and explosives in one spot. You'd think the Sherriff's department would bring in the nearest Military EOD and get that whole area near the bridge cleaned out.
not really a priority for most places. to be hones they would rather not have to deal with it as its out of sight out of mind.
Too much hassle, easier to let it degrade into nothing in the water or wait until someone finds it and reports it.
there's a wreck called SS Richard Montgomery sunk in the Thames estuary during WWII, it has 1400 tonnes of explosives onboard, there is a large oil depot less than a mile from the wreck,no one is in any rush to remove the explosives, and there is a good chance that trying to do so may cause an explosion, so they are letting the cold water and time render the cargo safe
Army EOD doesn't do much with underwater you would need navy and in a land locked state you will have issues getting navy eod out there.
Glad you guys are helping the environment.
Look on the EOD Tech's face when you said hissing... His mind clearly thinking "Right we are going to get the robot out to get this one"
This better be the hand gernade

I thought the same thing, “is that a CANNON BALL?!”
Guys, those magnetic rocks could be meteorites. You should have them checked out.
Hit them with a hammer first to make sure their not explosive devices
I dunno, I'm so old, I think I'd have just flung it back in the water & ducked..."Fire in the Hole!"
What happened to what looked like a cannon ball? I about shit myself when you pulled up that hand grenade. I thought at first that law enforcement were gonna hand you the riot act because they thought you were joking, but then when they found out it was the real deal, everything changed.
I'm still trying to figure out how they managed to pull a whole Chevy pickup truck engine out of the river.
That was not the Chevy engine.
That was the upper and lower control arms and part of the frame the wheel bolted right on the side of that and the suspension went in between it.
Eating lots Popeye spinach everyday...🌱💪😋
I'm still trying to figure out how you or anyone frankly could confuse that with an engine..
@@Napster60 Oh if it's not a engine it's because I'm not a car person.
Next time you find a grenade, leave it be. And don't try pull it off the magnet. Put the whole magnet down and LEAVE IT. Always assume it's live.
It's your right to film no matter what they feel. Where someone's feelings starts the law does not end.
I know exactly where you guys were, not even 10 minutes from my house!
So crazy
That was no cannibal that was something much more than I Cannonball
Bro will soon fish out whole Titanic from that river. LOL
At 5:50. it's DeSoto hubcap. My family car in the early 60s - I learned to drive in it.
That grenade is a Mk. 2 and has a casualty radius of 5-20 meters but maybe less because of the water damage and the explosive could have gootten wet and is now useless.
It was confirmed live so it was far from a useless grenade. They had it on the news according to them
i dont think they can legally stop you from filming but cops often dont care about the law in that regard
Just subscribed. Originally from NWI. You should check out the lil Calumet river on Kennedy Ave between Hammond and Highland.
I agree and from nwi
Missed a solid interesting ending by not following up with what they found out and did. Did they blow it up? Were they sure it was real, or just playing it safe? I understand they didn't want you to film, but did they make you leave too? Couldn't you have found out after the fact? Maybe I missed it?
Totally off topic but I love your shirt! Liked his boss better but Jimmy's a great driver.
The fact that I think that is by Griffith Indiana and I live in Gary which is a city right next to Griffith
how the hell are those grenades and explosives left unchecked in rivers?
Those rocks are either iron rock or hematite.
Wowww!!! I'm glad you guy's are OK.
Still a awesome magnet fishing find tho.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💯💯💯💯💯💯
Damn that water is nasty that’s an unhealthy river
You guys are fun to watch🥰🎀
I’m enjoying your videos, I might take up magnet fishing but I live in the U.K. so guns are unlikely for me too find but I suspect a shit tonne of knives
Dani, great vid! Did you ever hear from the cops if it was a real live one?
I know it was live and the news even posted that they said it was.
@@danidip hey I would love to see the news report. You can call the station and they will email it to you.
2:46 is a motor mount that probably connected to the subframe at 4:44
This is your NAMI friend- you’re so hot you stop traffic haha
I know someone that lost their arm because they tried blowing a hole in to a bank using a grenade. Yeah.
when do you reckon you will have the whole car recovered :D
one piece at a time
I wonder if anyone will ever find one of the nuclear bombs that the military has lost I believe there is 2 but I know there is atleast one that remains lost
If they do, they won't be able to haul it up with that gear.
The cops weren't as nice as the ones that came and tried throwing the magnet but at least these were pleasant anyways!
That bullet looked more like .30'06 not a 5.56
I don't know why you think you couldn't film but the Constitution allows you to film in public and allows you police well performing their duties. Anyways know your rights and don't allow vad cops to stomp all over them.🙂👍✌️
Wow the cops must want to hire you
Personally, now i mean only me, would have seen grenade, not removed from magnet, GTFOD and let cops/bomb squad play. Had it gone sideways, you might not be here.....
I’ve handled a plenty of grenades. I’ve had duds in the past we would always have to call EOD to handle the duds. The reason why he was asking if there was a hole in the bottom is because the ones with holes are training grenades. I’ve never dealt with a hissing grenade or have ever heard of one hissing so I would say you did the right thing.
Glad everyone is OK. You never know if something like that will just go off without warning. Much better to be safe than sorry. Great job! Keep up the good work!
Heard a story once.
A teenager found an old grenade from WW2 trenches. He took it home and tried to restore it in his shed outside, it exploded in his hands killing him. His father carried him out from the shed in his hands.
If it's start hissing, run immediately don't just standing there.
@@jakob999-u5yit hisses when it feels scared, to warn people to back off as a defensive measure lol
Hi Dani good job on the hand grenade. If you don't mind I'd like to give you the same message as I did to Brittain, Nug, & several other Magnet Fisher's as a safety precaution when you go magnet fishing. Anyone that magnet fishes or does scuba diving you all need to carry a extra bucket with you you should hook your rope to the handle & drop the bucket over the side & get at least 5 -6. inches of water in it. Or you can drag it down to the edge of the water & try to dip water into it without falling or slipping into the water.
A
The reason why is because any explosive behand grenades. Pipe bombs, "Molotov cocktail" bomb, military grade, or anything that could have gun powder, nitroglycerin explosives, chemicals to made an at home made bomb & or fuel in them. They need to be kept wet until it's in a safe area where the Bomb Squad feels it's safe to detonate it.
The chemicals that are used in any explosives become very unstable with age, water, temperatures, & becoming dry. By being prepared if you or who ever is with you gets other hand grenade or any other explosive. Another thing it would be best if you can move the explosive in the bucket place it in the shade away from the bridge & yourself.
I've watched enough of finds like this t
I already know but we had all the buckets in the trunk full of metal
Thank you so much though I appreciate it though!
certain compounds common in pre WW2 explosives become even more unstable in wet or damp areas. so it's kind of a catch 22. the best Idea is to lower any explosive device back into the water immediately. That way the energy of any discharge will be mitigated by the water.
@@anthonycochran6492 Hey-I wanted to give you a "thumbs up" for your helping advice, but there was no thumbs below your paragraph. So-
thank you.
@@anthonycochran6492 I am being totally honest with you. After I typed what I did-- then those aforementioned thumbs showed up. Sorry.
Pulled out a granade.

Yeah buddy maybe just walk away next time without letting it go from the magnet would be the best idea
"grab the magnet" nah bro grab a flak jacket and run your ass behind a thick tree lmfao
heard it hissing and said "grab the magnets" 💀
@@apocryphon2003he has more than one magnet. He means to grab the equipment they weren't using and pack up fast
They might get tired of what you find and try to pass a law keeping you from doing this. Sometimes laws are passing because they rather not know about it.
Or they change it to tax the activity cause they never pass up a chance to squeeze money from ya
Wow! You caused some serious motivation to occur. Next time you find any ordnance, leave it on the magnet, and get you and the kiddo about 75 yards away, then call the authorities. Just an FYI!
Well done quick reaction and a nice bunch of cops for you to deal with. Always good to see respectful interaction from the Emergency Services.
Well, the magnet fishers do valuable public service for free. Emergency services should be grateful (be it cops or bomb squad). Even if these guys give them extra work, it is something harmless and might even give valuable evidence in real crime.
Well, that was exciting! Ya'll always perk up my day! Smart move to get away from the grenade quickly. Was glad the cops took you seriously and didn't mess around! Thanks for making my day!
I'd bet it's a dummy or decommissioned grenade that's just full of river gunk and the hissing was air filling the cavity as some water ran out of the mud in it. Though I think we'd all have the same reaction if we pulled up a river grenade and it started hissing at us.
Always better safe than sorry, I reckon
All those car parts make me think there's an entire car under there.. and maybe a body.
Someone where I live recently found a old grenade and just walked it to the police station and handed it to the front desk. It's in the centre of our town, he had a decades old grenade in his pocket as he walked through a crowded area. Remember people that if you ever find one to leave it where it is and call it in immediately, like what this guy did.
That looked like a Russian 7.62x54R bullet for a mosin Nagant or Pkm machine gun. WAY too big to be an AR round.
That hubcap is from a DeSoto automobile. Very rare to find one, today. They were great cars!
*You can film. You just have to be far enough away that you're not obstructing. Anything that's in the public view you can film. As long as you're filming public officials performing their duties.*
DeSoto hub. We had a 39. Great finds...and hell yeah, drop and run.
Thanks for sharing
Are you going to put the truck back together when you find all the pieces LOL
Didn't stay to hear the outcome???
Or have an Update?
Imagine if the pin was on the magnet and you would pull it off
WTG! Question did you hear anything later or did news have on tv? just curious! you saved lives!
Not on tv but was a story
Y'all making me want to take my shop magnet out and go get some arm exercise 😂
My dad found a live grenade in a neighbor's back yard one time here in the last 8 years or so. He called 911, and the "bomb squad" they sent out was a deputy in an old Chevy Blazer. Dad said the deputy took the grenade, put it in a little box in the back of the Blazer, then drove away. At least you guys got a legit response.
I am glad nothing happened but the explosive Control guy made me chuckle because when he walked away from you he asked his guys If anyone would like to go grab it.
Wow the boy is really strong, glad you brought him along 🤗👍🏼
. 🍀Good luck
You absolutely can film!
Moon hub cap was a style back in the 40's 50's before my time but My folks 1st car had them
Oh my gosh, thank God you and Gavin are ok...that was frightening .I started shaking just watching the video...God bless you and stay safe 🙏
Why are you thanking god from preventing them from entering heaven, the best place ever? 🤘😈🤘
Bullet looked a little big for a .556
you can film law enforcement all you want in the course of their duty, if they tell you otherwise they're violating your rights, you can choose not to if they ask politely, I'm not against being nice, just saying.
Can’t flim??? It’s public road you had the right to continue to record
You could keep recording you have the first amendment that a public place
Great find and video. BUT, you did not have to stop recording from where you were, despite whatever lies the cops told you.
If it's hissing, get away. Don't go back to take a picture. Geez!
"its hissing its hissing its hissing.... grab the magnets" Bro would jump headfirst into a fire to save them damn magnets
OK, That was a cool find with the Grenade, but did you ever find out WHAT happened to it? Did they destroy it, or find that it was nothing serious? Great Find Dani!
Typically, bomb squad puts it into a special "box" to attempt to prevent it from exploding or doing too much damage while moving it , and bring it somewhere they deem safe for to explode it. Might take a while depending on how long it takes for the chemicals inside to dry.
It’s so much nicer watching your videos. You get on with it instead of becoming ridiculously over exited over every piece of rusty junk you pull up. 👍
Glad you enjoy it!
Like "The Fisher" channel guy.
His presentation gets on my nerves
Yo magnetic rock is a possible asteroid
*Hey guys, So what was the final outcome.
Whas it real was it active?
What did they say once they recovered it? Update please!
Was real but don’t know if they blew it up or not
If the pin was in the grenade it not active. If the pin is missing you have about 5 seconds until it explodes.
@@Sir_Engel_038 after water exposure to that degree the explosive compounds can destabilize that’s the concern there
You are supposed to put it in a bucket with water next time.

U Guys find the darndest things !!! The only thing I ever found in a river was glass ("on more than one occasion"). And, that glass? Seemed to always find my foot or my Son's foot or his Friend's foot or my dog's foot or my Son's Friend's dog's foot.
Seriously, tho. I learned one thing about finding glass on the river. DO NOT.....I repeat...DO NOT walk in the river under or anywhere near or close by to a bridge.......BARE-FOOTED & with a dog or dogs. Nope. Just a few words of advice.....
That magnet on a rope? We used to use the same sorta device when I worked for the Harbor in our Town. When we were taking apart or puttin' together the small floating docks, we'd use tools &, sometimes, someone would drop one in the drink. I swear that magnet would find a dozen other tools, BUT NEVER the one we were looking for. (wink)
"Thanks Dani Dip & Friends" for sharing your Adventures with us !!!
GOD BLESSES ALL.
Can we get some likes for bomb squad respect
I've seen several videos with scuba diving, magnet and most of them found pistols, guns, WW2 mortar, bombs etc, all called the police, the American Police is so prepared for such things, they have everything they need, i wish my country to have police like yours.
dude you would have been dead atleast 20times if that grenade went off... if its making noise you got about 2-4 seconds to find cover
Everybody hates the police until one’s just casually driving past an emergency situation.
Seriously this could have destroyed a vehicle, or if that bridge isn’t sound brought a chunk of it down.
That cop deserves a conduct medal 🏅
idk bout destorying a bridge cheif
@@patrykk63 I do know…it wouldn’t do shit to that bridge. Hand grenades(while super dangerous) are mightily disappointing on how much boom they have.

Confused why you could not film. You may want a small CAT or otherwise, but if the operations are done in a public area you are legally protected to film.
