Hello - I am trying to digitize a collection of old art books. the main point for performing the OCR is to allow reading apps to read the book aloud. Since they're art books, they have the following characteristics: they're often what are known as "coffee table books", those that meant for decorating your coffee table; they're richly illustrated and can have complex layouts, fonts of different sizes and styles of fonts with liberal use of italicize font; the books are about 150 - 250 pages; they are in English, but also have some Chinese characters here and there as well as romanization of Chinese words into English (ie: "Wong kar wai", all of which wouldn't appear in English dictionary). With that in mind , how easily could your PDF program perform ocr on such a scan? - for example 250 pages single PDF?. The main goal is to produce a digitalized copy where the English would be recognized by the reading app; to ocr the Chinese and romanization isn't a huge priority but it would be nice. Is the PDF app the right choice? Would it be extremely labor intensive? Thank you.
Hi on one of my computers (same PDF exchange versions and licence key) I have the choice between the default OCR and enhanced but on my other computer I only have defalut... How do I change that please?
