- On this special edition of The Gettin Salty Experience we team up with Ash and company over at Capital City Industries as they help Kubes get his fathers old helmet back to display ready. Ash takes us on a tour of the CCI shop and gives us a run down on their daily operations, we get to see the hard work put in on the helmet, and then We get to see Ash make all of Kev's childhood dreams come true from riding the officer seat to operating the bucket. A different diverse experience from our normal content, but we are sure you will love it so don't miss out.

Very nice to see the hard work that goes into fixing these helmets/retrofitting them as well. Capital City in itself is a full time job, I don’t know how how Ashley does that, works his FD schedule, never mind raise a family. He’s a very very hard worker!!!!!! Reminds me of my old man, he’d come in the house covered in soot from fighting fires, go shower change then chug a cup of coffee down and head off to his side job. I’d say hi dad bye dad lol

The chin strap works very well. Things happen in fires and helmets come off all the time. Even if your helmet is fitted it is still vulnerable to being knocked off. The chin strap remedies that.

I do have a question related to fit. Assuming some of these helmets are "in service" lids. Once you don a mask and balaclava, curious how the helmets fit with the added layers.
