Another issue is the fa motor is not a direct main bearing oiling system. It splits oil feed between mains and cams. The ej motor feeds the main bearings first and then the cams.
Toyota saying redlining the car voids warranty is wild. It's like buying shoes and them ripping the moment you wear them and faulting the user for wearing the shoes. With that said, I'm sure the customers that blew up their engines were absolutely hooning their cars.
A little bit of excess rtv?? Have you seen the video from Misha where they tore down an blown engine and the excess rtv was throughout the entire engine assembly! Also, Toyota's terrible after sales service and denial of what have been clearly valid warranty claims is why I will not buy anything from Toyota
@@mgv.videostudio Well, with the Toyota specifically - don't ever drive it faster than 85mph, or that 10 year warranty your sleeping well over will be void. LOL
@ I've had the car for three months, it's been on the track once. Of course, I'm an amateur racer, so I don't want to look for limits, but I must test now as long as I have a warranty. That's why I can sleep well. What I can do to prevent problems is to warm up the car before loads and cool it down afterwards and monitor the oil temperature. The only modification so far is that I ordered a Cat-Back System exhaust with Varex Muffle, I also plan to lower it, and later change the brakes.
Bought my 1st ever slowbaru WRX last month. 2024 with 25 miles on it. Sitting at 1500 right now. It'll most likely be my first & last slowbaru. The only thing I really like is the STI STS that came with it. The rest is... sub par at best.
The VBs have grown on me a bit, especially considering the amount of power they are capable of holding on stock internals. Visually, it needs some work but nothing wrong with that. Enjoy that car, they are fun!
I also believe I read that she didn’t maintain the car as you should. The only cases I’ve heard of a motor blowing are on the track. I feel this laws suit is bs. I beat the piss out of my brz and drive it daily hard and on twisty roads with hard, long right hand turns.
@@fsl3242 There are a good portion of well-maintained blow-ups unfortunately. Her grounds might not stand as strong but the case definitely can be built.
Glad it may be getting justice but the camera all over like a 90s hip hop /rap video gets old really quick. Im probably not your target audience but you have great enthusiasm!
It will probably surprise you or maybe not? did you know that Subaru has an aluminum roof and Toyota has a steel one? It's a shock to me, but it's true and I have proof of it
@ and everyone claims that these are the same cars, Subaru has invested more in its product, there are a lot of differences and it's to Subaru's advantage, so we can be happy
Have a '22 BRZ that's had no issues. Everyone I've talked to about this say that Subaru is doing a good job with handling warranty repairs for BRZs but that Toyota went full corpotard trying to pass the buck to anyone but themselves. If a GR86 is a Toyota branded vehicle, with a Toyota issued warranty, then Toyota should absolutely be the company that handles GR86 issues especially when you consider they own a percentage of Subaru anyway. However, as usual with these things the fuckbois and cloutbois are going to make their totally factual opinions as to why they aren't to be blamed in any way whatsoever known as loudly as they can. In this case, with a lawsuit seeking a ludicrous amount that would better be spent fixing the problems with the cars!
Not sure if you watched the whole video but, the lawsuit claims to cover engine repair under a 100k mile warranty. One can assume said repair will not just be a motor replacement, but an actual remedy to the oil starvation issue (short or long term). A serious lawsuit is what it took for this to be properly addressed.
The RTV is 100% not the cause or even a part of cause. It's the head design, oil return is Insufficient, and this a problem going all the way back to the ej20. Its just significantly worse in the case of zn6/zn8 because of the differences. RTV was 1st and 2nd generation and pretty much any crapburu engine after like 2009ish because they seal all the engines with rtv
I like how this is filmed like a rap video from the 90s. The constant zooms every half second lol holy smokes.
I like it to it keeps my attention lol
He doing too much
it makes me dizzy.
Actually had my editor on this one, he's baller lol
Jua tought the same HAHAHA
This editing is so adhd. The zooms are jarring.

Interesting info, I didn’t know that one. Very curious on Toyota’s / Subaru’s answer to this now that they have to answer lol

Agreed, but it is Subaru’s motor. Tough to say every single case was due to hooning - I’ve read otherwise. The lawsuit will speak for itself though.
How I can join the lawsuit??
That's a little out of my department of knowledge. Suggest doing some research on how & if, you can participate.
My gr86 just blew up in flames today.
Does this apply to the wrxs as well?
We’ll have to wait and see if it’ll cover the FA24F motor as well. Can’t see why not considering it’s apart of the FA family.
That lady forsure got the 5 milly coming her way
As long as they don't choke lol, plenty of evidence on this one

@@a46xyonix His video is a joke in the community lol. Don’t take it from me, do your own research.
I saw this video but bought GR86 anyway. The car is fun to drive. Plus 10 years warranty should be enough to sleep well.
@@mgv.videostudio It’s still a top car to buy right now. Think that says something about the chassis 🤔

Really good production considering it's a smaller channel good work! just a little less zooms and it would be perfect

What's gone wrong so fast?
Why did it go bad so fast? It’s only a year old lol
Idk dude I've driven a vb they're pretty good cars.
EPIC RAP BATTLES OF HISTORY!!!
So are they gonna send you a recall letter to send it to your nearest dealer and maybe "fix" the problem?
No, the dealer you purchased from would most likely notify you on behalf of Toyota.
The zoom and all the crazy hand movements is just too much.
Noted on the zoom
Jesus christ am I watching am episode the office. I legit wanted to throw ufiesw first 5 seconds.
Is this the same lady that had 65k miles and wants her warranty?? Also please leave the headache zoom in and out

24s not included in the class action lol
Forgot to mention this, ty for adding. However, predicting that they will be considering there’s no change in the motors.

Aye if Porsches can do it, so can subies
I mean the fa20s did pretty well. Especially the wrx versions.
Why is he talking like that?.
Worst video ever. Clearly copying someone else.

Like I said before, boxer engines are garbage.
