I have 3 playthroughs, my first 2 i went bankrupt after having a powerful army without the money to back it, this playthrough ive bought some workshops and trying caravans, thank you so so much the amazing amount of detail! I actually feel like im going to have a good pair of boots to land instead of diving head first with no idea haha. Thank you again Flesson19! :)
My #1 way of making money is getting roguery then fighting as a merc. You make tons so you can afford and army, then when you become a vassal you for that roguery to get a lot of battle loot. I prefer that method over any others. Any questions just ask and Ill help ya
My go to for anything bannerlord economics related ha. Nobody else is puttin this much data and analysis into their videos. I watched SO many workshops guides for 1.2.8 and nothing stuck. But I saw your workshop video on steam, just went and bought your top 5 suggestions, and for the first time ever I'm making 1100 profit from all 5 workshops, about 200-ish from each, sometimes less, sometimes more. Really helping to manage out my 3 garrisons, which I was having to constantly be at war and selling loot and prisoners to manage but now I can take a break to do side stuff or manage other lordly activities
One thing i have noticed since the update is the leveling up of my caravans. They seem to be acquiring a shit ton of XP which is great. I have been in a kingdom and typically only have one enemy at a time. I always start my caravans in faction territories far away with no beef. I have had certain caravans last for so incredibly long its actually mind blowing. My nephew has been in a caravan since he was of age. He was finally defeated and now i give him parties and he is a beast at war.
These guides are a life saver! A lot of this seems pretty consistent with what you had said before but still it's great to have the updated info on hand.
Thanks as always. They desperately need a way to remotely get a caravan leader back on the road. Just use the same system as getting clan members to start up a military unit. It’s more lost money every time we have to drop what we’re doing to go personally see to a caravan getting back up and running. Happy New Year!
I have caravans going the 2nd option for 25000 and after a week or so they get kidnapped 💀 8:00 you just explained why I’m having issues. It’s my first play through I chose Battania and the empire is just destroying us
does beeing battanian effect the movement speed in forrests as a caravan leader? i could imagine it would help with surviving and avoiding battles a lot if that were the case
yes it does, the caravan leaders culture benefits matter for the party they run. I did notice that they follow a path when traveling and didnt hit the forests much. I might have to check on that one though.
my opinion is no, as its a gamble. You start with better troops but as they die off you only get regular troops so do you want a little extra survivability for a little bit. Now someone did report starting with upgraded troops makes them also after, that I need to test for my next video to see if its true. I just dont do it without being really good.
Thanks for your research, very interesting, but what you said about caravans not worth it while being in a kingdom means that they are practically useless anyway, since most of the game you are in or rule a kingdom.
right, its like workshops. Early on is when you want them to help out but later in the game they make more money when its not really needed, backwards mechanic
If I open a party, will that party go on the attack if I am not a vassal and running only against bandit hideouts with 2 workshops and 2 caravans? I was thinking of opening one up just to be a storage for overflow of elite troops I capture. I have no idea what else id use them for and not ruin reputation with the other factions
They will attack bandits if you're not in a kingdom. It will cost you money, they never make enough to cover cost. But it is a great way to get them party leader skills
I also think that roguery can matter the 25 sweet talker perk sounds like it could benefit?! 🤔 I also hope that taleworld fix the bug run into you could not disband caravans they didn't move from that spot when I disband it! But if they got captured you can just pay money! I got lucky i did have a savefile before i send that caravan out!
Im assuming im missing something, as i understand it survivability of caravans is poor when being part of a kingdom. Im now a vassal and eventually want to have my own kingdom. Does that mean caravans are always going to be pointless for me?
Man I love caravans but somehow mine always end up fartin around in the desert when I'm warring with the Aserai lol like what are you even doing down there xD Anyways great vid as always thnx for the tips :)
Local connections decreases the selling price for animals, which works for horses. The other does nothing for a caravan leader. If you have the perk it gives trade rumors
inflation is devaluation of the currency, saturation and scarcity of the product is what drive price in bannerlord (simple request and demand), they dont print money like modern governments do, so inflation is not a thing
At some point you stop caring about the money, and need to join or create a kingdom to progress well. At that point, I wouldnt bother creating more caravans

A masterclass of Caravans. A lot of data, mechanics and very well explained as always. Thank You
thank you so much for supporting

thank you for your hard work testing and great information as always
Thank you for taking the time to watch

Such good coverage on caravans. Was looking for info on war and survivability this is the only comprehensive video i found. Thank you and great video!
Thank you so much. Many hours go into it, knowing people appreciate it makes all that work worth it
Getting back into bannerlord, happy to see these videos are still informative as ever
Most are still fully viable, and welcome back
As of game version 1.2.9, Filled to Brim (@75 Riding) is now called Deeper Sacks.
These guides are a life saver! A lot of this seems pretty consistent with what you had said before but still it's great to have the updated info on hand.
thank you so much
Thanks for testing this for us!
Wow u put a lot of work into this. Thanks 😊
thank you for the support
As always, great guide.
thank you

yeah ill ask the devs
As a video creator I appalled your work for a video like this my god the amount of factors
@@CaptainCapitalism thanks, people talk about RNG so I have to do extra to negate those comments
@@Flesson19 it’ can be mind numbing going through factors concerning something you inherently know. Just so you can prove the logic behind something.
@@Flesson19 keep it up
Very informativ. Thank you 😊
happy Anniversary
@@Flesson19 Its been a pleasure

Doesn't matter if the player is Aserai, but did it matter if the caravan leader was Aserai?
thats what was tested, the caravan leader. Some patches it made a big difference so I test that each time
does beeing battanian effect the movement speed in forrests as a caravan leader? i could imagine it would help with surviving and avoiding battles a lot if that were the case

@Flesson19 So i didynt cath that but maybe you dont tell its wort to invest to better guard when you starting a caravan or not ?

If anyone declares war, they can attack your caravans. Your caravans aren't smart enough to avoid the, u will lose them
Man I love caravans but somehow mine always end up fartin around in the desert when I'm warring with the Aserai lol like what are you even doing down there xD
Anyways great vid as always thnx for the tips :)
That's the AS for ya, Artificial Stupidity
I ran a caravan yesterday. She got attacked and kidnapped within 10 min 😅 I’m not a kingdom yet, or otherwise affiliated. Just my luck, I guess
yeah that RNG is crazy
The caravan workshop relation cant be solved by makinh the shop use things from the warehouse instead from the market?
Why Local Connect instead of the other one?
Local connections decreases the selling price for animals, which works for horses. The other does nothing for a caravan leader. If you have the perk it gives trade rumors
Def need better caravan AI. Or an easy respawn option. Took me longer to afford my first caravan than it lasted in the world.
inflation is devaluation of the currency, saturation and scarcity of the product is what drive price in bannerlord (simple request and demand), they dont print money like modern governments do, so inflation is not a thing
Because of looters and bandits spawning on their own, there is actually an increase in the money all around. Also, towns do get money out of nothing
Filled to Brim perk doesn't exist. You might have Deeper Sacks on mind.
really, thanks ill check it out
what is the optimal number of caravans ? I currently have 4
At some point you stop caring about the money, and need to join or create a kingdom to progress well. At that point, I wouldnt bother creating more caravans
Aserai probably got the worse Cultural traits
