- If you're hiking the Camino Vadiniense and Lebaniego, don't miss the teleférico (cable car) in Fuente Dé that takes you deep into the Picos de Europa mountains. We walked 14.5 km (9 miles) on the PR-PNPE 24 Puertos de Ávila trail from the top back down to Fuente Dé.
Cantabria is a beautiful place to explore in northern green Spain.

Muchas gracias!
Great video
Thanks so much!
Isn't that the mountain you see in the distance from the Camino Frances between Burgos and Leon?
Yes, it’s part of that mountain range. The Cantabrian range stretches for a loooooong distance.
@@DaysWeSpend A lovely sight especially in winter. Thanks for the video. Always wanted to see it from close by.
Gracias!!. Precioso vídeo, ahora voy a tener trabajo mirando los anteriores 😜
😂😂
Another great video. I loved Fuente De. You’re right about the weather, it can turn on a dime. We did it in the snow in November. It was AWESOME!
Thanks so much!
Woah! November! That must have been beautiful.
Brilliant episode guys, this looks and feels amazing!
Thank you! We loooooved this day.
This video was so well timed, I'm flying to Spain to do the GR11 *tomorrow* and seeing these mountains has me extra excited for what's to come. I'm less excited about eating bread for every meal though 😝
That’s awesome! Have an easy trip!
What a fantastic trail! Living vicariously through you guys. You will have to drug me to get on that teleférico!😂
Thanks so much! The teleférico is quick, but it's definitely a scary one for many.
other fantastic video
Thank you!
Another option is to take the cable car, walk to Refugio Vega de Urriellu and sleep there (you can reserve online). Next day, you go down to Poncebos (Hostal Poncebos). Then, you walk the magnificent Ruta del Cares to Posada de Valdeon/Santa Marina De Valdeon (a few casa rurales). Finally, you merge on the camino via the road or PR-PNPE 15.
That’s a great idea! Thanks for sharing it with us.
So beautiful! Love the animals!
Thank you! The animals were a highlight for us!
