This is a fantastic song, but I feel like the vocals (specifically in the chorus) do not hold up compared to the record. Having a fantastic vocalist is so dangerous, because they record all the parts in the studio to perfection and the rest of the band can’t cover down on it live. I’m a little surprised Mr. Wiseman wasn’t doing backup vocals for this song, considering he’s done it for a lot of Shadow of Intent’s tracks. Respect for getting out there and doing the damn thing though.

@@VRTX_-sc7dx let me rephrase my original comment cause I suppose I didn’t state it very well. The lead vocals throughout the song were fantastic and hold up quite well when compared to the record. The backup vocals is what is lacking in my opinion. I realize it is physically impossible for the lead vocalist to perform all the parts which is why I said it’s dangerous having someone as good as he is. Same thing happened with Boston. Brad Delp was such a powerhouse in the studio (Tom Shultz’ basement lol) that the band could barely do the vocals live cause Delp was on another level. I feel like that’s kind of what’s happening here. But ultimately it is just an opinion which matters nothing whatsoever. Clearly you disagree and that is 100% alright. 🤘🏻
