Mike, you've reignited a longing in me that I had put at the back of my mind. Ever since my mid 20's I wanted to own a Jeep (especially after watching Piper drive one on Charmed TV series). I LOVE THIS VEHICLE AND IT'S FEATURES. Thank you for the Excellent Review 😀 😁
Thank you Mike I just got this car yesterday and I learned plenty by watching this! Also l don't know if it's a basic option but I discovered that the cruise control adapts to other vehicles on the road with the sensors 👌🏽
Really nice review...great audio and video. I've seen a couple of yours and I like the time and attention to detail that you take. Also like the intro with the underside views of the autos that you review. Very helpful to me for sure!
My new-to-me 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited did NOT have an owners manual and my wife hates when I try to explain the Jeeps technology functions to her. She watches Mike's video and now knows more about our Jeep than I do...
Thank you for the review! I have the opportunity to purchase a 2016 Jeep Grande Cherokee from my uncle in AZ. I was going to have to make the decision without physically seeing the vehicle since I live in TX (pics only), but I believe your review sold me. Thanks for the informative review!
I just bought one. Mine is Granite Grey. Too many white ones out there 😋 This video was really informative about all the options and settings. I LOVE driving it!!! Soo smooth. Not sure about the start/stop thing (especially in Alberta Canada where weather can be extremely cold), but i get alot of funny looks from people in the drivethru. Love the Sport setting, but find its really jerky as you get going, but you can definately feel the difference! I love how it picks up with barely touching the gas pedal and just handles really nicely. Interior is very sleek and comfortable as you can adjust your seat in so many different ways. Lots of interior space for all passengers with luxury comfort. Cargo space is more than adequate. Back up camera is great along with all the updated security features...and my first vehicle without a key!! I only got one fob though 😒
Wow, gorgeous Jeep. And those features, wow. How I want one. Need more cash, oh well. Oh, and need 4WD or AWD or whatever confusing thing they offer. Thanks for the high resolution video.
Gorgeous, beast of a Jeep just look at the underpinnings. 2016 and up are highly reliable. With rountine care you can get over 200k miles on this V6 easily.
Very hardy SUV and reliable !! I have a request if you are in contact with representatives of a Jeep, then tell them for Russia they made the most reliable jeep! There is one Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2013 with a 3.6 engine, it has a mileage of almost 800,000 thousand kilometers or 497,096,954 thousand miles !! Not a problem except a broken gearbox !!
I just bought a used 2016 limited today, exactly the same as this one in every way, except i didn't get the full sized media center, mine is only about 4 inches across and has manual buttons at the side. Also mine only has the sunroof over the front seats, there isn't one in the back. It's an awesome vehicle though!

I wish the premium sound, 8.4 radio, and some other options weren't optional on the "Limited", which was once the top of the line Grand Cherokee back in the day, but of course you can get those options and get the Limited for under $45k, which I guess is good. (:
+Vincent D You can get the Altitude model with premium sound, 8.4 radio, sunroof, 20 inch wheels, dual exhaust and the SRT's leather seats and more standard for under $41k which is also a great deal.
+Vincent D IT is nav capable, very easy for the dealer to add it. I know what you mean about accents. I bought a 2011 limited in black because I like the look of all the chrome on black, but I also like the aggressive blacked out look too so I bought a 2015 altitude in black. When they sit side by side they both look good in their own way. I prefer the upgraded tech in the 2015 and the 8 speed is much more responsive than the 2011. They have both been good vehicles and depending on my mood I take one or the other.
Yeah but I'd rather pay once to have the navigation instead of paying more money at the dealer... plus you get HD Radio, nav traffic, 3d modeling, and a bit more with the 8.4n over the 8.4a that the altitude comes with. just my preference.

Hey Mike, question..are you a tv news photojournalists i.e. tv cameraman cause you do such a great job. Van Underwood dealership should pay you cause you do a great job.
No auto side folding mirrors on Limited trim level unfortunately. I have a 2017 True Blue 3.6. I totally would appreciate folding mirrors. Overland trim model has it.
Mine has a terrain select, it is auto all wheel, with full 4 lo option, decent control etc. So yes it is a 4x4. I would argue the 8spd transmission is annoying and retarded. I put it in the pointless category of vehicle. Too much computer intervention when I wanna have fun, there is no real OFF when it comes to stability control. It really doesn't want to let you slide it into a ditch, or roll it. . . AKA NO FUN AT ALL! I think in Canada the 4x4 version is 52-54 000 plus tax. The sport mode and paddle shifters offer some smiles, but again the transmission in sport mode has issues. It struggles to find a gear, and I know it's not a sports car, but there is A LOT OF lag between you hammering the floor and the computer saying 'LETS GO' to the motor, then another second of flip flopping between gears, especially between 2-4, they are closely geared, so it really just can't pick on, and sometimes downshifts into a gear to low, and won't shit back for like 2 seconds once you remove your foot from the gas... EG. IN full auto, I floor it, the revs go to 6000, I remove my foot to brake, but it only shifts down 1 gear, and I am still reving at 4000 under braking before it finally drops. Lot's of pointless shit, at least the full 4x4 is capable, but the trim package makes you want to stay on the highway.... I miss my 04 Chevy Blazer with rear locker.
I could be wrong but i think they discontinued the CD player in 2016 for this vehicle. It's funny because some people still had 8 track players in their car in the early 90's when they were completely obsolete in the late 70's. Same thing with CD players... they have been obsolete for at least 12 years now. Do your dad a favor and rip all of his CDs onto a $8 flash drive so he doesn't have to lug around his entire CD collection. He can keep his CDs at home so they don't get scratched.
