Breath of Nagano 「木曽漆器」 〜制約から生まれた創造性～

「木曽路は全て山の中である」。
島崎藤村が記したこの言葉どおり、急峻な山々が迫る木曽谷。日照時間が短いこの地では、農業ではなく、良質な木材を生かした営みが続けられてきました。
その一つが木曽漆器。地元、奈良井の沢で採れる「錆土 (さびつち) 」は、丈夫で日常性に優れた、質実剛健な「用の美」をもたらしました。
