  • Ewa, along with her husband Toshi Nakamura are the founders of "Kopernik", a social enterprise dedicated to connecting life-changing technologies in rural remote areas in 10 developing countries is the world, including Indonesia. There she encountered big problems, particularly on bringing the innovations into the country. However, this became a blessing in disguise, which lead her to more and better innovations.

    In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local,
    self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like
    experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine
    to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local,
    self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently
    organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for
    the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*

    but if anyone has any high-level connections, we'd really love some help getting those drums and lights through customs... that just pretty much negates this whole talk, or at least makes it a footnote to a point that contradicts what this whole talk was about

    "requires behavioral change" Technology is the great disruptor ... there will be behavioral change any way you look at it...
