    I went to a community college and got my ADN. I did my clinical hours during my last semester on the CVICU and mentioned I’d like to work there to the clinical educator and the unit manager. I did well during my clinical hours and applied immediately after graduating and was hired pending NCLEX. Took my NCLEX and passed in June. Start date was July. I began my RN-BSN online the very next semester. Taking my CCRN this year. Applying to CRNA school this year after 2 years experience. Next year, assuming I don’t get accepted this year, I’ll have taken my GRE and will reapply to more schools.
    You’re right that ADN first then BSN is a great option.

    I watched your video just kind of daydreaming and I love that I am on your “fast track” and am doing all of the things you mentioned- I am starting second semester of nursing school for my ADN - gonna work in ICU while getting my BSN - I also have already looked up and printed out requirements for my first and second choice CRNA program - how I’m going to budget - and have ordered and started reading about different blockers etc - I will definitely start following you for helpful info- thank you

    Just had an ICU interview and got rejected. I have an ADN and I'm working on my BSN online currently. I will probably have to change hospitals to get accepted. I think getting the unit experience is the hardest hurdle.

      Hi there! I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't get the job-- but you're doing great by not giving up! There's certainly some competition to get into the ICU; you may have some success if you can start as a Nurse's assistant or on a step-down unit then work your way up? Of course, exploring other area hospitals is a great idea too. Trust that the right spot will open up for you!
      Thanks for doing what you do and for tuning into the show. Rooting for you!!

    Here in California, the only way to be a CRNA is with a DNP

    I have a question and I want some input about my pathway. What do you think about this pathway? 1) My high school offers a technical college CNA program, I’ll be taking that second semester of high school. 2) After I finish the CNA program I’ll be taking ADN at a technical college for 2 years, then transfer to University for my BSN for 4 years. Now my question is when do I start working in the ICU, is it after/during I am a ADN or CNA?

    Hi I have a question on ADN to BSN route: a lot of schools ask for prerequisites to get in to ADN program. Some colleges near my area say it takes at least 2 years just to get into ADN program. Is this normal?

    • @CRNASchoolPrepAcademy
      @CRNASchoolPrepAcademy  2 года назад +2

    How do you calculate Science GPA itself? I am considering retaking some of my classes in order to boost my GPA. I do have BS in NS. Do you recommend retake some lower grade classes or take advance A&P? I will start my ICU job soon but like to preplan for the CRNA school what I have to work on for GPA~

      We have a GPA calculator on our Guarantee Program application, which you can find here: crnaschoolprepacademy.com/guarantee
      I'd consider joining our Guarantee Program once you're full time in the ICU-- it's a 12 month program that guarantees your acceptance into CRNA school or your money back! You can also chat with our Program Faculty Mentors about retaking courses during the Coaching Sessions that are included.
      You can learn more about everything that comes along with the program here: www.crnaschoolprepacademy.com/join

    Hi! I really want to become a CRNA and there is a school called Keiser that is online and can help me get a ASN within 2 years but I’m not too sure if it is the same as an ADN. Is this a good school to go to?
