Missing is not the worst feeling in the world, the worst feeling is making a bad hit and no recovery, at least you know why you missed, it happens to everyone, if it doesn't rattle your nerves then why hunt
Agreed 💯 wounding and not recovering is the worst feeling for a hunter. I hate knowing that I have a wounded animal that is suffering and can't find it. I have a huge respect for the animals, and when one is hurt and not found I feel that I have totally disrespected that animal.
I know it sucks, and sucks bad, but shake it off my man! Look at it this way, at least you have the opportunity to hunt, AND HUNT EARLY. Give him a little time and he’ll be back! I just sub’d so I can see the next video of success! Good luck to you and everyone else getting ready for the season!
It is a horrible feeling… And all the would’ve’s, could’ve’s and replays start in your mind and will lasts for days. But this want be your only opportunity. Figure out what you did wrong and learn from it. It’s all part of learning to bow hunt. 😉👍
That sucks piles of a$$. Asa professional keyboard outdoorsman that never ever makes mistakes, Id like to say thanks for taking us along, don't get down on yourself, he didn't bust you, he will be back and you will drop him next time. Redemption will feel 10X stronger than the disappointment u feel after the miss.
Lots of nonsense as you would expect on a site like this. But actually trying to help you you might have dropped your bow arm a little bit, which will lead to a high impact. Also something alerted the deer right before you shot and it was looking at you so it is very alert, which will cause them to drop.. And last what is your pin set in at 20?
OK, had to play it back a few times to see it was high.......he will be back....Chit Happens!!! (Just be more patient, wait for him to be broadside or even better, quartered away....
@@Mason_Hanson gotta love self righteous bow hunters who likely use the latest and greatest technology. Most have to buy another bow if they think the new one will shoot 5 fps faster. How bout hunters just support other hunters? There's a novel idea.
Sorry man. But I taking it from video that you didn’t even shoot before hunting. You have to practice for muscle memory. Please practice so you don’t just wound one. Missing is better than wounding
Quit buying corn and you would not be broke. Maybe you need to learn how to be a woodman and start hunting no attracting. Learn to read signs and hunt not ambush.
@@possum3238 I hunt deer by scouting year round and finding where they camp. Where I hunt it’s illegal to bait. You baiters are embarrassing. Anyone can smoke something over corn. When you look down do you even see anything? Unlikely.
@@PA2Smoke my point is, if you shoot anything while its feeding, wether its corn or grass it makes no different, dont be so naive. I hunt corn, i hunt soy fields, i hunt food plots, i hunt deer eating acorns in the woods, “baiting” is a joke, youre hunting, your superiority complex is laughable. Do you fish on an unbaited hook as well?
@@possum3238 my point is you’re just plain lazy. I bet you’re well overweight so tracking through public over 10/20 miles would be to much work for you to do to shoot a deer, and get I mean why would you when you can sit by your bait pile. Keep calling yourself a hunter Kyle.

That’s my exact comment but beat me to it. That’s a miserable sick feeling.

I thought the very same thing when he said that.
Humility is a lesson we all learn at some point bow hunting. Keep your head up and get back after him!

You’re not stupid. You’re a bowhunter. It’s what separates us from gun hunters. Practice and keep digging.

Let folks hunt the way they want, may not be your way but at least the kids out hunting and not causing trouble.
@@YELLOWLEAF205 You are right so few kids are interested in hunting these days .
Even worse, missing over baited deer. Sure your regulations may be different but you ain’t a hunter imo. All you corn baiters are whack.
I take it you hunt your deer over bare dirt or concrete
