Ah, thanks for the heads up! Yeah, Setsuka has these little tricks for boosting her meter, because her moveset doesn't innately "generate meter quickly". What I like about SCVI Setsuka is her voice, especially how she "screams" while using 6A+B, and A+B! She sounds like a real warrior unlike other females, my opinion
She is a lot easier to use than in previous games but harder to master with her new mechanics. I will she has easier inputs but some of her combos still need skill.
Yoo I've seen your DOA stuff on reddit and really helped out! Didn't know you did SC6 too.. anw.. the 214, 236 moves (B,A, and 2A) have JFs too, dont know if you intentionally left those out in the JF section..
Nah, it wasn't intentional. I only went over a few of the JF's, mainly the relatively common ones. In the outroduction, I mentioned that I likely didn't go over all of Setsuka's JF's because she has too many and that would require a guide in itself. This guide is mainly an introductory overview of this complex character.
Aw not reccomend for beginners huh. I have a huge passion for this character and waited over a year for her to be added. So imma just tough it out. But is it impossible to learn the game with her or just not reccomended?
Yeah, you can learn SCVI with Setsuka, she's not as "weird" as say Voldo or Azwel, but it can be too tempting to get caught up just focusing on execution, instead of fundamental stuff. To help out, you can just use the "Easy commands" until you've gained some experience with SCVI and Setsuka in general. To put things in perspective, it would be a lot easier to learn the game with a character like Geralt, Seong Mina, Mitsurugi or Sophitia for instance.
Hi YumeKaitou, thanks for watching! Yes! I'm tentatively getting guides prepared for October, November, December (new character timing?), and likely into 2021. Groh is within the next 5 guide window as a heads up ;-).
Hey, sorry about the late response. This is an awkward match-up for Amy, because both characters are good in close range. I'm not that familiar with the match-up, but I'd try staying out of Setsuka's 1A:A:A range (which can track too) and trying to sidestep and punish any vertical attacks with a 22B combo to build up some red roses.
Cool vid, setsuka is lit man, too bad i don't have money for any dlc money so I'll just let her hold a zweinhander >:] Also, this is bit off topic but there's some background noise
Unfortunately it's the PS4 Pro's fan. It's annoying as hell, and I don't have a studio setup to minimize it. When I do get a customized studio, the PS4 is going in a corner by itself haha.
Oh, they represent the different moves. 6K means 6+K or Forward+Kick. Check this out: For Directional Notation 7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 Each number represents the corresponding direction. 1 for "Down-Back", 9 for "Up-Forward", 5 for "Neutral" or no input, etc. Quarter-Circle Back = 214, Quarter-Circle Forward = 236, Half-Circle Back = 63214, Half-Circle Forward = 41236, etc. For Input commands: A = Horizontal Attack B = Vertical Attack K = Kick G = Guard Button 6G = Guard Impact A+G = First Throw 4A+G = Second Throw 6B+G = Resist Impact B+G = Reversal Edge A+B+K = Critical Edge 236A+B+K = Soul Attack
In general yes, because you essentially need to learn two movesets with her: Jolly mode & Gloomy mode. She also doesn't switch moods on a whim, so there's an element of randomness with the "mood changes". If you don't mind putting in the extra work, she's got decent tools to work with.
She's one of those, "Either you saw my boy Force of Nature's guide, or your losing!" Type characters. If you don't KNOW what you're doing, you WILL, uh, get it in the end (f'ing community guidelines) without Vaseline or mercy, sandpaper rolled in resin and broken glass condom, not even the common courtesy of a reach around. Uh, (*smacks self upside own head. Get back on track, idiotá!) what I'm trying to say is while "Snow Flower" ain't my cup of tea per se, she has her own charm for those that use her and she is quite formidable for those who have trouble dealing with her, *ahem, more interesting strings. Every one I've come across online is either total trash or whoops mine posterior post haste "GG Scrub! :-)"
I hate to admit it, but Setsuka is just not a fun character to play to me. She doesn't have some form of decent introductory that makes it easy for me to understand her combos and strengths. A lot of button pressing with hardly any results to come through. I've yet to meet a strong Setsuka online either, cementing that her playstyle isn't that strong or fun.
very late reply '.' Setsuka is almost impossible to play optimally online due to the netcode creating just frame variance, so is very unpopular online, but her optimal oppressive pokes playstyle can be learned online, other characters are better though aye if you get a lot of fun out of combos, even offline she isn't a combo oriented character.

What I like about SCVI Setsuka is her voice, especially how she "screams" while using 6A+B, and A+B!
She sounds like a real warrior unlike other females, my opinion
"She sounds like a real warrior unlike other females"
And... the point?
Thank you very much, subbed.
You're welcome! Thanks for the support! :-)
Was hyped enough to patiently wait for her - NOW i'm afraid to pick her because difficulty lvl ADV scares me - and I'm "green" in Soul Calibur ....
It's all good, Project Soul gave her a few "Easy Commands" ;-). Though, I need an "easy command" for iagB...
If it's any consolation: I found every character in this game too hard/full of gimmicks until her.
She is a lot easier to use than in previous games but harder to master with her new mechanics. I will she has easier inputs but some of her combos still need skill.
Thank you for making this, you really got me off to a good start with her. Good stuff as always.
No problem. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this!! Been playing her lately!
You're welcome! She's fun haha! :-)
11:10 This is what I was looking for
My favourite character
Aw not reccomend for beginners huh. I have a huge passion for this character and waited over a year for her to be added. So imma just tough it out. But is it impossible to learn the game with her or just not reccomended?
Nothing is impossible. But trying to learn everything at once is probably overload for some.
@@ForceofNature99 I tried Mitsu and Mi-na and decided to go through with Mitsu - enjoyed game a lot with him
Great video. Will you be doing more character guides? If so, I will be waiting on the Groh guide. :)
Hi YumeKaitou, thanks for watching! Yes! I'm tentatively getting guides prepared for October, November, December (new character timing?), and likely into 2021. Groh is within the next 5 guide window as a heads up ;-).
@@ForceofNature99 thanks!
Ok so its the same as other setsuka and alpha patrokalis with a few modifications thats whats up
Pretty much.
Thanks
You're welcome.
You rule man!

@SMRT F.O.N how well does Amy match up with Setsuka? So far, I can't do nothing against her. Do you have any advice on how Amy should play Setsuka?
Hey, sorry about the late response. This is an awkward match-up for Amy, because both characters are good in close range. I'm not that familiar with the match-up, but I'd try staying out of Setsuka's 1A:A:A range (which can track too) and trying to sidestep and punish any vertical attacks with a 22B combo to build up some red roses.
I was thinking of learning her as I've only ever played her casually. Think I'll just stick with Seong Mi-Na instead
Cool vid, setsuka is lit man, too bad i don't have money for any dlc money so I'll just let her hold a zweinhander >:]
Also, this is bit off topic but there's some background noise
Unfortunately it's the PS4 Pro's fan. It's annoying as hell, and I don't have a studio setup to minimize it. When I do get a customized studio, the PS4 is going in a corner by itself haha.

Dont use her if you are new to the game or learning!
Me who literally got the game for her alone 😞
Anyone else think this character's kind of broken? I feel like even in 5 A Patro was a disaster

What do the numbers mean
Oh, they represent the different moves. 6K means 6+K or Forward+Kick. Check this out:
For Directional Notation
7 8 9
4 5 6
1 2 3
Each number represents the corresponding direction. 1 for "Down-Back", 9 for "Up-Forward", 5 for "Neutral" or no input, etc. Quarter-Circle Back = 214, Quarter-Circle Forward = 236, Half-Circle Back = 63214, Half-Circle Forward = 41236, etc.
For Input commands:
A = Horizontal Attack
B = Vertical Attack
K = Kick
G = Guard Button
6G = Guard Impact
A+G = First Throw
4A+G = Second Throw
6B+G = Resist Impact
B+G = Reversal Edge
A+B+K = Critical Edge
236A+B+K = Soul Attack
@@ForceofNature99 thank you
next time when you did some juggles with her put at the 2nd action Block and tech rolls booth many your juggles arent guaranted....:)
Noted that already in the description.
why did you put glasses on her?
Coz reading is fundamental
Is tira a bad character to learn the game with?
In general yes, because you essentially need to learn two movesets with her: Jolly mode & Gloomy mode. She also doesn't switch moods on a whim, so there's an element of randomness with the "mood changes". If you don't mind putting in the extra work, she's got decent tools to work with.
Still don't know how to get it can you make a video how to get it?
Eh, nevermind.
I can't get the timing right 😁
🙁
@@ForceofNature99 It's still a good video tho. I'm just terrible w 1 frames.
This character is so annoying to fight lol, it feels like all her attacjs are tech crouch
more annoying to try to and these combos. satisfying when you do though
Setsuka is such a legend ⚔️⚔️⚔️
