Maybe they call it 'European Politic Contest' next Year. I know that there a lot of people and nations who don't like germany. And honestly I really can understand a lot of points and reasons. But the song and the singer just by itselfs deserved so much more. I don't say this as a german, but as a person who enjoys music. It might not be the best from all of the songs, but it's not fair, that she got judged by the cover of the book. And by that I mean the nation she comes from. (And we are not the only nations who sufferd from this. I am pretty sorry for others who got judged by where they are from) All I wanne say is, that we might have a fucked up political system or a haunting past, but yes: Most germans aren't proud of it at all. But when you take a closer look, then you know, that the people here are not defined by this. We are kind, loving, caring, open-minded, tolerant and welcome people form all around the world.
I promise, if they would do this whole contest completly blind, we all would be stunned how different the votings would be.
Ps: With that I all wish ya all the best, no matter where you from. Stay save out there. And not matter what others say about where you from or who you are, you are beautiful and loving just the way you are. Don't be ashamed for your nationality. Ein Witz. Das Lied ist toll, deine Stimme kommt voll zum Einsatz und es ist ein Ohrwurm. Am unverständlichsten war für mich Schweden da dieser Song passagenweise mit einem anderen Lied identisch war, dass aber anscheinend total egal war.
Danke an unsere tolle Politik die uns sogar jetzt einen Gesangswettbewerb versaut haben.

Das lied ist einfach immernoch wunderschön.
Sehr schönes Lied.. Ich find nur schade, dass dabei kaum die Bandbreite ihrer Stimme rauskommt.. Ich vermiss die ganzen tiefen Töne, bei denen ich immer Gänsehaut gekriegt hab.. Die Stellen haben mir bei "Berlin" so gut gefallen, da hat sie so toll mit ihrer Stimme gespielt.

The problem is the political situation and the general negative image of Germany destroys a lot of possible points.. I mean the last 3 years we had always good songs, which got just some points.

Wäre tatsächlich Mal ein interessantes Konzept. Glaube nur die Umsetzung wird schwer. Alles um den ESC, die Videos und Darstellung ist anhand der Nationalitäten aufgebaut. Man müsste alles über den Haufen werfen und das gesamte Konzept umstellen. Wäre es aber meiner Ansicht nach wert.

Wie hier viele meinen, dass Lied wäre zu schwach für den ESC...das hier is ne astreine Studio-Version von dem Song, live kann sie da noch einige Höhen und Tiefen reinhauen, schaut euch doch mal ihre Auftritte bei The Voice an, da geht auf jeden Fall noch was.
Und ehrlich gesagt, ich wäre froh, wenn nach den mutmaßlichen Drama-Quietsch-"ich schreie um mein Leben"-Kreisch-Balladen unserer Lieblingsurlaubsländer ein "normaler" Song mit einer sympathischen, wirklich talentierten 17-Jährigen kommt.^^
Sogar Lena hat das mit nem wirklich schnarchlangweiligen Song inklusive peinlich falscher Aussprache hinbekommen, also erzählt mir hier nicht, dass Jamie keine Chance hätte.
Denn das Leute, wenn ihr so denkt, ist der Auslöser dafür, dass wir dann wieder irgendwelche furchtbaren Sänger hinschicken, die wirklich nix zerreißen (ich weiß gar ned, is heuer wieder wer vom Clubkonzert mit bei der Vorauswahl? Hoffe nicht ._.) weil alle wieder meinen, sie wissen es besser und rufen für die falschen an.
Schau mal genau hin 75% dieser Kommentare sind von ein und der selben Person ohne jetzt Namen zu nennen... Stefan Kaiser...Hust! 😜

+daydreaminx Es gibt keinen Clubkonzert mehr. Als Spanierin, ich würde gerne etwas auf Deutsch hören auf den ESC. Eine Sache ist einmal in 60 Jahren auf English zu singen, andere fast immer. Zwichen 40 andere pop-songs würde dieser nur mit einen unglaublische Staging (gibt es einen deutsches Wort für Staging?) überstehen. Z.B. die Gregorians es ist unmoglich das kein anderer Land sowas hinschickt, oder Tobias Sammet könnte die Lordi-effekt haben (d.h. Metalheads auf der Welt ESC anschauen und wählen).

Wahrscheinlich der einzige Song in der Geschichte mit dem eine Sängerin einen großen Wettbewerb gewonnen hat (The Voice, ich weiß da zählt auch die Gesamtleistung) und bei einem anderen Letzte wurde (Song Contest). Mir gefällt "Ghost" echt gut, das ist voll mein Musikgeschmack. Zudem hat Jamie-Lee eine herausragende Stimme und eine tolle Persönlichkeit. Für den Song Contest der ja eher Schlagerniveau hat war das Lied vermutlich zu anspruchsvoll.

Das Lied kam einfach etwas zu früh damals. Heute wäre es nicht weit von Billie Eilish weg und ganz vorne dabei.
Ich stimme dir voll und ganz zu, heute würde das Lied überall laufen und auch beim ESC mind. Top 3 werden
mit billie eilish hat das mal 0,0 zu tun. ohne das gruselige outfit und die miese choreo wäre aber mehr drin gewesen.
