I focus now (try to, I'm a work in progress) on my identity in Christ and THAT is the identity I want to know more about - who is THAT guy. So if anyone is battling with this, just remember that - keep your eyes, your heart and your prayers focused on Christ, not the world. What your 'label' is - really doesn't matter. I was converted to Christ from homosexuality 30 years ago. Loneliness and isolation is the worse companionship. I am glad to listen this and realize I'm not alone.

I still think he's free even if he feels temptation. The thing about temptation is you can fully shut it out, you can even minimize it arising in the first place. Then there is no inhibiting to how you function really. There can be a lot of growth even while the temptation is still arising or "comming to you" every now and again. It doesn't have to be the same as bondage. Think of this: opposite sex attraction isn't a bondage even if a person decides to stay single for life. However it can be very debilitating if people let it in over and over again, and if they yield to it. Then it becomes a bondage. So same sex attraction can be a bondage but also not in the same way. That's what I think anyway.
I do think it's good that he's being transparent because God knows it all anyway and it can help someone with the struggle they are having. We all have our own walk with the Lord, so hopefully he's not justifying and instead sharing the truth so he's not causing others to stumble.

I still think he's free even if he feels temptation. The thing about temptation is you can fully shut it out, you can even minimize it arising in the first place. Then there is no inhibiting to how you function really. There can be a lot of growth even while the temptation is still arising or "comming to you" every now and again. It doesn't have to be the same as bondage. Think of this: opposite sex attraction isn't a bondage even if a person decides to stay single for life. However it can be very debilitating if people let it in over and over again, and if they yield to it. Then it becomes a bondage. So same sex attraction can be a bondage but also not in the same way. That's what I think anyway.
You probably won’t see much transformation and deliverance because if there is a god, he doesn’t change people’s sexual orientation.

I do think it's good that he's being transparent because God knows it all anyway and it can help someone with the struggle they are having. We all have our own walk with the Lord, so hopefully he's not justifying and instead sharing the truth so he's not causing others to stumble.
Question: It says in the bible that a woman that wears a red dress must be stoned to death. That law is over 2000 years old. But to answer your question generally, a lot of the specific laws in the old testament was given to the nation of Israel, the nation that was meant to represent God. The Christian church aren't supposed to carry out the punishments. (eg don't eat split hoove animals, don't work on Sabbath or be stoned)
However, a lot of the ten commandments have been repeated in the new testament and those Christians should still keep.
Lastly, We are saved not by keeping the law but by putting faith in Jesus
