I'm curious how he keeps the 75% fcr with the hoz setup for max block. 20 from circlet, 20 from ammy, 20 from arach if he doesn't use verdungo, 10 from a ring = 70. Since other ring needs to be raven for CBF. unless he drops down to 48 fcr breakpoint which would be circlet (20), ammy (20), ring (10). then can use hoz and verdungo.

One of those builds that looks cool on paper but then when you don't have the gear to support it... crumbles. I mean, you need a lot more than a grief (of doom or regular) and enigma to make this build shine. Perhaps in D2:R the FoH can carry a bit more punch when people don't have max res and silly amounts of HP.

On a side note, are you guys getting the crazy queue right now over one East? I'm on West and we currently have a ~2k queue for every game and it's been like this for several weeks now. I'm contemplating starting over and jumping on East. Seems like your PvP seen is more alive anyway. PvP is the only thing keeping logging in anymore. The West is pretty dead too.

Everytime I see people speaking about pvp in Battlenet is so weird for me... I have never played bnet (well I only have 1 sorc there but meh) mostly because I'm from Argentina so playing on bnet it's impossible due to lag ofc. So here in Argentina we had a very famous server that... everytime there was a new patch, like from 1.09 to 1.10 and then to 1.11 and so on we get a server wipe, worked as Seasons you may say, so all those "Bugged" items we never saw. And more importantly we were actually organize in terms of pvp. What I mean, there was always PvP Tournaments, but the Tournaments were like "Pally vs Pally" 1v1, "Sorc vs Sorc", and so on, and then "3v3" and I guess some 1v1 AllvAll also. But those Class Specific 1v1 and 3v3 was the most important ones. So builds were made with the solo intention of winning in those situations, I make a Necro for Class Specific 1v1 and all my gear was Ethereal... just because it looked sick and I knew nobody was going to hit me, also less STR req. But not only that but also we had rules, for example Enigma was banned from PvP, more than 20 LR was banned from pvp, using, for example, Guardian's Angel + Thundergod's Vigor was banned, in the actuall PvP was banned to stay more than 5 secs inside a House, all PvP were made in Nightmare and Act 1, the A1 outside has to be wiped of all mobs and every stone turned, the use of potions were also banned so in a Tournament you have to be able to pick up TPs and put them in your belt and after that show your charms and you have to have all inventory whit charms, you could change gear before the fight but not during the fight... all those and more a LOT more were rules for Tournaments but because everyone wanted to practice for Tournaments everybody followed those rules and the one that doesn't we just don't let them fight, ofc most PvP was on closed games, but for example open pvp games were created and some with rules, for example "Duels" games should be no free hostile and "Duels FH" were the Free Hostile games, FH on a Duels game could mean a server ban.... now all this stuff seems like too OP in a way but also interesting if you think on "Oh I should do a build that can deal with every situation" it creates builds but at the same time it also make a lot of builds not viable, the idea of those rules in our server was to be able to maintein build diversity... For PvP I actually had a Vindicator, of course not as disgusting as that one lol :P

Hey man, can you explain why some items on land when they are dropped in the city, e.g. to craft items, some of them are lost forever? Are you (US) queues to create the game for battle? A tragedy on Europe.
All items "poof" after being left on the ground for long enough, untouched. Except for quest items. And yeah, queues are getting bad on East. They've been bad for a while on ladder, but now NL is seeing some, too.
Oh man, I miss those days when bnet was still a good place and there was enough people with decent skills and chars. Duel games were actually fun, even those bm duels. Those were the days... Anyways, nice video...
How about +3 to holy shield, +3 to FoH, and +3 to conviction on the CTA? Seems worth grabbing. That way, you can switch weapons and definitely have 3+x points into conviction depending on your gear.

I used to play against a guy called venq alot in like 2010-2013... huge bmer.. always ran a similar build of smite/hammers.. v annyoing to play against lol
That’s nearly identical to my V/T build back when I played but I used a perf COA upped hoz for smite and then on switch what makes the build so great is I used a foh stick made into a CTA so when I would wep swap I had access to conviction with out putting a hard point into it. I also only use 7x 40+ lifer pcombs and the rest were 20-5s with a few 5fhr-5res scs

At a certain point you'd be trading entire characters full of hrs and they're not worth much with bots when they find 2 or 3 maybe more a day anyway. I'm working on a vt myself right now, the what I do have was funded by a 20/5 res life sc I found lol that has payed for 3/4 of the gear I have, but I'm still at the entry tier overall you know? Love d2
The Correct Answer Is: You should be using both. PB should be used when ias can be affected by who you duel, like a Necro can decrypt you. The PB is faster. The Zerk should be used in a BvC scenario, they can clip you, you want as much reach as possible and the Zerker Axe will outreach the PB in this scenario.

I play V/T myself, and I can assure you that you just need grief pb for 90% of your duels as you can hit max ias breakpoint with just fana aura on. Additionally, your primary gloves should be trangs for the 20fcr. How do even chainlock without having 75 fcr?? The cb gloves are good against characters that show you down.
@@Maty514 you can change a lot better with PB. Depends who you are facing. I have both, but using on V/T PB 90 % of the time. Plus, it gives you open the slot for gloves, unlike BA where you need ias gloves

Grief of Destruction cant be made into a zerk. So grief of doom is the best option for zerk. Zerk > PB as far as range/dmg goes but PB > zerk for base ias. Grief of Destruction PB would be better than regular grief PB ofc
PSA - anyone making a VT in d2r should be using an upped HoZ with a ber rune in it. These hybrid runewords don't exist anymore and a spirit Smite dmg is laughable. Use a hoz

Do not follow this build,this is a shitty v/t build. Plus v/t's dont tele around they charge to desync. Also without conviction your foh is useless you might as well be full smiter. If you are having trouble with curse or poison necs as a v/t then you should just delete your char

I had a hammer/foh pally back in the day and it was extremely good i think they called mages it’s a rarer hybrid but was pretty dam efficient

Personally, the only time I would use pb is if I get slowed(golem slow, holyfreeze). Zerker has better range and should be your #1 pick IMO
