I like how on that shot N looks a LOT like L. They share the same expression, L knew that someday N would be a better successor to his legacy than Mello, though they were both good.
@@Nanu67-e9j he didn't use the same underhanded tactics as L. that's where mello came in and how they were able to succeed in gaining hard evidence. they knew they could never live up to light, so by working together they finished the case in L's stead.
I'm one of the few person who loved Near. I liked the difference between him and L. The way I see, L presents the full logical thinking and the absolute realistic worldview... I mean, he observes every inch, every part of all situation, which unnerved him, and he also had feelings. He was lonely and the overthinking and his friendly feelings towards Light caused his death. But Near... he hated Light. He truly hated him, and his first suspect was Light... and he didn't stop until he captured Kira. And he also didn't observe other situations. He went against Light with 300 km/h. Which I liked. It proves that sometimes the intitution is better than logic. I don't mean that Near has no logic. He has, and he is a genius as well. For me, he just like... "Yagami Light is Kira and nothing else matters". and L was like "What if... he would have done... he would do... 3/4/7% that he's Kira" so too hypothetical.
The brilliance of Near lies in the fact that, unlike L, he never massaged Kira's ego. He treated him like a crazy serial killer and the Death Note as a weapon of mass murder. Don't get me wrong - I love L more than anyone in Death Note, but you have to give credit to Near for being himself and solving the case
The best quality of Near is that he calculates a lot before action and doesn't want any feud within his circle showing who is boss . He always wanted to work with Melo.
I love both L and near Near is cute and smart has respect for L even though he said something disrespectful about him his theme is amazing in the manga hes so amazing and L I love him because of his habits being similar to mine and hes adorable and smart I believe he's the smartest character in the series and no one can change my mind
I feel like the composition is underrated and we as viewers dont even recognise the significance of each individually written compositions for each character and how beautifully fitting they are not to mention how smart the structure and sequence fo the melodies are written from A B C. This show is truly spectacular with not only its plot (except for the fact that they killed off L im not forgiving them for that aha) but truly well written the musical compositions are.
I actually prefer Near over L personally. L had a bit of an ego and some trust issues. He was also kind of disrespectful to both Aizawa and Matsuda. I kind of got the feeling that L like to flaunt his intelligence in front of people a bit and he also tortured both Misa and Light which is illegal and pretty fucked up to do especially in front of Light's Dad. He got way too personal with the case instead of being professional like he should've been and that was a big part of his downfall, that and he showed his face to Light way too early. Near never did any of these things. He looked at this as just another case and he stayed very professional and he had a much better team than L because of this. He enjoyed being right but I feel like he only like shoving it in Light's face because he didn't like him. I don't hate L just to be clear but I feel like a lot of people ignore the fact that he has some major flaws. Oh also L was willing to use the Death Note and become a murderer just to prove that Light is Kira. In the anime Near never did making him better than L which is why he became L's successor.
L put his life on the line by putting himself out there. If you watched the series L pretty much reasons that he has to meet Light up close so that he can further test Light. There's a reason he showed his face. Infact he basically cornered Light by showing his face and using an alias which is the name of a popular person. He knew Light wouldn't do it. Saying its ego is not only superficial reasoning, but you have to ignore the plot which explains his actions.
@@joseph906 I never said that was my reasoning behind why I thought he had an ego. It's implied in the show that both L and Light are very similar that's why I think that he has an ego. I know why he showed his face I just think that it was reckless and if had been more patient he would've found a way to corner Light without doing that.
@@mcbills9096 Its not really fair though. L had to be reckless because so much of Kira's methods were unknown. He didn't know about the Death Note and he didn't know about the Shinigami Eyes. Near had the luxury of being safe because L and Mello figured that out for him. Its hard to say what would have happened if L was more patient but I don't think he could have made the progress he made unless he was as direct as he was. Both Light and L put themselves in danger on purpose in order to get closer to the other.
@@GetterRay I suppose that's a fair point but he knew that Kira didn't need to be in the same room in order to kill someone. If L had sent out a decoy instead of himself and just monitor that decoy it would've been much safer because he could gather info about Kira without putting himself in so much danger. Not just himself either. His co-workers as well because he invited Light into the task force. You could argue that Light could figure out that L just sent a decoy but even Light himself said that even if it was a decoy he still couldn't kill him because he might as well be saying "I'm Kira." Light didn't intentionally put himself into danger he made one really bad mistake when he killed the decoy that L used on TV when Kira first had an encounter with L. If Light had stayed calm during that interaction he would've been fine.
@@mcbills9096 Light did intentionally put himself in danger and he outright tells this to the audience when Ryuk asks him why he killed the FBI agents. And a decoy wouldn't have worked, again read the actual internal monologues that L has. From the very beginning both of them were open with the fact that it was a battle of pride and ego. That's what separates Near from L, and Near would have died if there wasn't someone willing to put their life in danger to put pressure on Light. L needed to be present in person because putting pressure on Light is what let him get that far, a decoy wouldn't have stolen Misa's phone for example. Basically, you're misunderstanding the whole nature of Light and L's game. It isn't about getting away with murder or catching a killer. Its about showing who's best.
Near is much more practical in his approach and does not let personal preferences govern his decisions as much as L did. Also unlike Light, Near's sense of justice and ideals are way more pragmatic and realistic(and he seems to stick to those), although he takes up cases which he finds interesting to solve. And yes Near has emotions. In the one shot that serves as a sequel for the original story, Near clearly has a strong admiration for L which is evident from him making structures of the letter 'L' using tarot cards .
I think we need to seperate Near as L successor and Near as himself. Near as himself as you see not as sentimental as L, but when he took L position's he need to make decision on how would L took initiative.
@@minariimoon its pointless. Shinigami are not humans. So even if he created the ideal world by killing bad people as shinigami..he cant live in it. Light wanted to be a god. Not a shinigami who most people wont even care about its existence.
I love Near's themes so much, definitely one of my favourites. I couldn't stop listening to them after I finished death note. I'll never understand how people hate the 2nd half of death note
As the comment section has said many times before, anime only problems really. Manga goes into more detail basically making death note better than even the brilliant anime.
I think in the later parts, with the emergence of Near and Mello, Kira had lost his edge in formulating strategies. He simply overlooked so many things and took steps he could've honestly done without.
everyone is hating on Near and Mello for replacing L while there's me loving all three (mello, near and L!) why compare the three when you can appreciate them all lol in their own way they all managed to bring Light down

I love near and L equally
@@Nanu67-e9j he didn't use the same underhanded tactics as L. that's where mello came in and how they were able to succeed in gaining hard evidence.
they knew they could never live up to light, so by working together they finished the case in L's stead.
I love him
I'm one of the few person who loved Near.
Completely agreed very good point
I agree and also I think mello is the "what if part" of L
The brilliance of Near lies in the fact that, unlike L, he never massaged Kira's ego. He treated him like a crazy serial killer and the Death Note as a weapon of mass murder. Don't get me wrong - I love L more than anyone in Death Note, but you have to give credit to Near for being himself and solving the case
This sound gives me such nostalgia
The best quality of Near is that he calculates a lot before action and doesn't want any feud within his circle showing who is boss . He always wanted to work with Melo.
Very true. He doesn't let emotions get in the way at all, he is focused entirely on the best way to get the job done.
Yeah, but I still prefer L.

Just imagine hardworking at 3am with this music
(RYUZAKI)L was the life of this series . I thought all will be boring & worse but then NEAR AND MELLO SHOWED UP .
L was the reason I Watched the whole series.
I love both L and near
Near is cute and smart has respect for L even though he said something disrespectful about him his theme is amazing in the manga hes so amazing and L I love him because of his habits being similar to mine and hes adorable and smart I believe he's the smartest character in the series and no one can change my mind
You may or may not like the character, but you gotta admit, the themes are awesome
I am not near but I am certainly a fan of his theme
notice at 5:14 , we hear some bell chimes , which represent L's death and The entry of near in the plot
I think it's also meant to represent Light's initial panic that L had returned, before realising it was someone else.

Listening to this song while solving Integral exercise it's very cool.
what grandma's think when you update chrome on their computer
Ok but his A theme is a whole vibe 😍
FOR REAL
these themes are making me want to rewatch this show for the 3rd time (I think I've never watched any other show more than once in my life fr😭😭💯)
Reason why Near wins because he never shows his emotions to light unlike L
Well near never meet light in person until the end of the show
@@Nanu67-e9j actually he doesn’t care about anything

@@sifatahmedx L didn't kare either he just pretended to so he can hopefully make Kira feel bad.
@@sifatahmedx L knew he was Kira the entire time Near only one because this was his case L is still better.
And it was really Mello that solved the case.
the showdown of this anime is so amazing
Near is much more practical in his approach and does not let personal preferences govern his decisions as much as L did. Also unlike Light, Near's sense of justice and ideals are way more pragmatic and realistic(and he seems to stick to those), although he takes up cases which he finds interesting to solve. And yes Near has emotions. In the one shot that serves as a sequel for the original story, Near clearly has a strong admiration for L which is evident from him making structures of the letter 'L' using tarot cards .
No L is better
I think we need to seperate Near as L successor and Near as himself. Near as himself as you see not as sentimental as L, but when he took L position's he need to make decision on how would L took initiative.
@@syahrinsaifi1 i think the fact he is carrying on L's legacy is enough proof he respects him
