A subtle but detail is that Aimee starts wearing less tight clothes and she wears her hair with less volume. Even in the “stop fighting over a stupid boy” scene she is wearing a turtleneck, baggy jeans and a low ponytail . It’s a hint that maybe she feels guilty about what she wears even though that horrible event WASNT HER FAULT AND THE DUDE IS A WANKING PSYCHO. But sometimes girls get comments or even you start thinking maybe it was my fault, which is never the case! This show is truly brilliant and small details like this are amazing
She might not be quilty but just self-conscious and not comfortable in fitting clothes anymore, if she imagines that every person around is ogling her in a objectifying way. Like "feeling naked" even though you're fully clothed, in front of an audience or in a big group of people you don't know.
Meave is a really good friend, she didn’t judge Aimee for what happened or that she was so calm about it. She stayed calm when they were at the police station and helped Aimee get over a traumatic part of her live they are the best
Maeve brushed Aimee's decision aside and coerced her to go. You need to know the other person well to do that, and you need to be aware that it can backfire on both, and if it does it is your responsibility. Maeve was brave, and being a very good friend, to put her friend's needs over her own, and her own judgement over hers. (Note: I'm using "friend" because I'm not familiar with the show.)

So many situations like that have been hammed up for comedy in mainstream media over the years and people have been influenced to find it "funny". It's so refreshing to see the script being flipped. I was watching season 2 again and Adam was so touched when Ola called him a friend. I totally get that as I am a bit of a loner like Adam and when a co-worker befriended me, it meant a lot.
So I'm a guy in his 30s, so probably not part of the target audience, they were aiming for with this show, but man the writing is just so good. Fantastic character introductions and development consistently going from the pilot until now. Especially the friendship between Aimee and Maeve has been wonderful to see and you can really tell the two actresses have amazing chemistry by the way they ad-libbed that last scene. And I wholeheartedly believe that the show has done its fair share of sexual education among its many viewers. The core message is it's okay to talk about it and it's okay to get help. It's great stuff like this that can spark up big conversations.
honestly maeve is such an amazing friend. i was deadass tearing up when maeve showed up with all the other girls to help aimee get on the bus. it was so heart warming
I liked Maeve more and more as the series went on. At the start I was like "oh god, here's the manic pixie dream girl love interest". But I think part of the problem was that that's exactly the way Otis sees her, and he and all the other men in the series fail to realise that she has her own interests, goals and struggles and isn't just a romantic object to be won by them. Otis and Isaac are busy fighting over her attention while Maeve is worrying about her mum and sister, neither of them actually put her needs first, it's all about themselves and their desire to win her. But Maeve and Aimee always know what the other needs, and that's why their relationship is one of the most important in the series. They put each other first, it's never about winning or losing, only about caring for each other. Female solidarity!
i love that they showed that at first she didnt see it as a big thing until people that cared about her showed her that its a big deal. idk, when ur that age, its seen as the worst thing to over-react on shit, so it was so powerful for me to see that she slowly understood, became scared, and then with her friends became angry then become brave idk that shits real
I love their friendship! It's so wholesome and refreshing. I love how Aimee attended every one of Maeve's quiz rounds and Maeve and the girls helped Aimee get on the bus.
I think Aimee was really used by the popular party kids for her big house and family money... Seeing her with people who really care about her is beautiful, finally finding out what she wants and getting support
I just love how Maeve treats Aimee's assault, especially her after affects on it. "Can't go on the bus? We'll go with you." "You've been assaulted. I know what I want for my birthday, reporting this to the police!"
Season 1 Amy : smokes, talks and shares with Maeve secretly in the abandoned bathroom. Season 2 Amy : dumps her toxic friends, biggest Otis x Maeve shipper, cheers Maeve during her tournaments. The best character development ever.

Their friendship reminds me so much of effy and panda’s from skins. Only maeve cares more about aimee than effy cared for panda
Iris Horsley omg yes
True...
That's more lovely 😂
And their friendship is definitely healthier then Eff and Pandas 🌝
aimee is so supportive of maeve and maeve is always there for aimee, their friendship is so healthy
1:55 Ruby did that part so well honestly
I love how she says it. I can't stop repeating it lol
@@natm2443 same 😂 I hope we see her alot more next season
I'm glad they gave Aimee a storyline in 2 and 3 season. She's an interesting character and a really entertaining one.
“Can you win me a giant pig?” Aimee is so CUTE😭
Emma is driving me insane i mean seriously
Same 😩🙏
samee
Her little tongue when licking Aimee's cake 🥺💜
honestly maeve is such an amazing friend. i was deadass tearing up when maeve showed up with all the other girls to help aimee get on the bus. it was so heart warming
I love how they're both so completely different, but they genuinely care for each other
Bus episodes always make me cry
The “because I can’t get on the bus!” got me so bad 😭😭 I am most definitely watching this during quarantine 😂
1:54 i wanna say its the best choice, but i cannot hate ruby either
금귤금귤 So true
I'm like really happy that there's a girl with an overbite on TV. I have one and I'm so self conscious about it. But seeing her gives me confidence
"Can you win me a giant pig ?" So precious x')
i love that they showed that at first she didnt see it as a big thing until people that cared about her showed her that its a big deal. idk, when ur that age, its seen as the worst thing to over-react on shit, so it was so powerful for me to see that she slowly understood, became scared, and then with her friends became angry then become brave idk that shits real
Aimee is the sweetest. She's also so good for Maeve, and vice versa.
The scene where they all got the bus helped me so much. I hate how society ignores these issues
Last week I got chased by a fox and Kyle threw a shoe at it
*it was so romantic*
I cry even thinking about the Bus scene, it's so pure and powerful
This channel just knows what I need to make my day♥️
I wish the entire show was centered around these two
I love their friendship! It's so wholesome and refreshing. I love how Aimee attended every one of Maeve's quiz rounds and Maeve and the girls helped Aimee get on the bus.
She looks so adorable with the bunny teeth. 😍
Aimee is so funny unintentionally tho😂😂💀💀. The way she give her lines is truly phenomenal ❤️❤️😂
I think Aimee was really used by the popular party kids for her big house and family money... Seeing her with people who really care about her is beautiful, finally finding out what she wants and getting support
5:45 that makes me sob OMG BLESS HER.🥺
I just love how Maeve treats Aimee's assault, especially her after affects on it. "Can't go on the bus? We'll go with you." "You've been assaulted. I know what I want for my birthday, reporting this to the police!"
she'd have to be pure evil not to
yes Aimee was right about the bootleg jeans !! 😂😂😂😭
Season 1 Amy : smokes, talks and shares with Maeve secretly in the abandoned bathroom.
Season 2 Amy : dumps her toxic friends, biggest Otis x Maeve shipper, cheers Maeve during her tournaments. The best character development ever.
Maeve is very protective of Aimee, but I don’t blame her. Aimee is one of the most wholesome characters and reminds her of all the good in the world 🥺
